We aren’t planning on having a ring bearer or pillow…quite frankly we have not given any thought of what to do with the rings or who to give them to.
After talking about it today we thought we could a) give them to my dad since he’s not walking me down the aisle (SURPRISE DAD) or b) just let the minister hang on to them.

Traditionally, the best man keeps the bride’s ring in his pocket and the maid of honor wears the grooms ring on her thumb.

Our best man kept both rings. We gave them to him the morning of the wedding.

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: we don’t have either so that isn’t an option either. We could give them to people in the wedding party, but then we’d be playing favourites.

Would it be possible for your officant to hold on to them? Though I also like your idea of your dad holding them.
Or perhaps a ring warming ceremony? http://offbeatbride.com/2009/08/ring-warming-wedding

Will your wedding party be in a certain order? Even though you don’t have Maid/Matron of Honor or Bridesmaid or Best Man, you could just give the rings to whoeever will be closest to you at the ceremony. That way it won’t be about favorites, but about distance and ease of getting the rings
