I ran across this blog post earlier and found it really inspirational.
Especially since I feel this way about so many of my wonderful, beautiful, dear friends.
I really think this could apply to any woman at any size. I feel like so many women (at times, myself included) are so focused on immediately picking out the flaws in every photograph that we are just completely unable to see the beauty in our lives, both the physical and intangible.
I’ve seen so many women on these boards who are utterly unhappy with their engagement photos, not because the photos themselves are bad, but because they hold themselves and their physical appearance in such low esteem. Here is what I have to say to all of you- too tall, too short, too big, too thin, too curvy, too busty, too flat-chested, too hippy, too hairy, too pale, too tan, too WHATEVER:
You are beautiful. Stunning, even. Your SO/FI/DH already sees that. And one day you’re going to look back with fond memories on the photos you took where you can physically see how much he adores you in his eyes, and how you reciprocated with your smile.
Stop poring over your photos trying to pick out every flaw you can find. Instead, enjoy them for what they are- documentation of how much you and your SO cherish each other and how beautiful he thinks you already are.
