Ok so here is the dilemma… I believe every wedding should have real dinning ware. No disposables! I love the vintage plates like the ones my mom and grandmother would buy from 99 cent stores, bargain stores, and other stores back when they were starting thier collection of dishes.
I really want to incorporate this in my wedding reception, but 1) We don’t have enough in my family, 2) Renting is expensive!, and 3) thrift stores and other people have hiked up the price on these plates taking advantage of the amount of brides requesting for this look/feel of wedding.
I’ve always been a huge fan of everything vintage and saving our earth since very little. I am aware of vintage/ classy stylelooking disposable plates and silverware; however this contradict my taste and principles (I’m pro eco-friendly). It has now crossed my mind to create a group of brides whom are willing to share deco and dinnerware in the southern California area.
What is your on take on this? Should I go forth on creating this group? I thought about creating the group on MeetUps.com. Or can I start a group here on wedding bees? Any advice, tips, or input would greatly help. Thank you in advance Wedding bees! 😀
