We're using http://www.eight20photography.com/ for our wedding. We're also on a tight budget and they were will to work with us to create a package with everything we wanted cut out the stuff we didn't want (albums etc)
oh and did I mention they are a super cute couple? eight 20 is their wedding date... so freakin cute.
We are using Michael Norwood. Not sure what his prices are now, but we got a great deal for all day coverage, album, and all high resolution images on DVD.

We are using John Kornachuck of www.theweddingphotographer.com -- you can see proofs of our engagement photos at www.christinaanddaryl.com -- click on photo album. The photos on our website are much lower quality than what we actually received because the files were too big to post.
We are paying around $1500 for the engagment sitting AND the wedding. Both at UCLA.

We used toby tucker. He was absolutely amazing and his prices are listed on his site. He's just a few from our wedding: OUR WEDDING.

we're using eric powell photography. he's got an awesome personality and i just love his work.
We're using Zenia Photography! She's super nice and really responsive to emails :) Her prices are very reasonable and she's incredibly talented. She was willing to travel to las vegas for us and gave us such a great deal :) Our package includes e-session, travel, wedding day photography, digital files, and we got 1 album-but you don't have to get the album. All her pricing is on her website. Hope that helps!

I absolutely adore my photog. Super nice, and super talented! I believe his fees have gone up since I booked him but I think they're still bargains for what he offers. GL!

They are INCREDIBLE photographers and have done celebrity weddings. You get TWO photographers on your wedding day (the husband and wife) so your groom gets equal attention!
Their unique fact is that they ONLY use film cameras! This was what sold them to me and my fiance because it's truly turning your wedding photos into an artform.

Fadedblue, did you find someone yet? I will throw in two more sugguestions. Both are fantastic and extremely affordable. We gave them our total all in and got fantastic packages from both! They are both willing to travel and come with two photographers. They are pretty photojournalistic but willing to work with you, nice guys, and definitely some of those people who could charge $6000 but don't.

Love Love Love ours: www.noelhadley.com he's based in Long Beach, but typically travels for most of his shoots. He includes an engagement shoot and is incredibly low-cost.

Hi Bees!
I come to you all for a little help and guidance. We're looking for a photographer in the SoCal area to shoot engagement photos and optimally our wedding as well (which will not be in CA, but in MI). We're cycling through a lot of different options right now but I was wondering if anyone had any rave reviews or recommendations for SoCal photogs? Obviously there's a lot of names all over Weddingbee, but we'd like to have you bees help us narrow down the field.
Photography is pretty much at the top of the list, but because we need to factor in travel/lodging/etc, the cutoff for our photography budget lower than expected. So no $6000 packages for us I'm afraid, but a photog that includes things like eshoots is a + in our book. Also any comments people might have on the photographers on the weddingbee CA wedding vendor list would be helpful too, since we've contacted a few of them =).
