If you’re going to do just one, go with the flip flops since they have an actual sole on them and some might be grossed out to just wear socks in public (hygiene an stuff). With that being said though, if you’re considering offering both I think that’s great because I would actually go for the socks over flip flops.

I haven’t seen a sock basket, but I think I would prefer “shoes” or the flipflops.

I’d just do flipflops if you’re going to do one.  I think wearing just socks walking around is weird, but I also wouldn’t change from heels into flipflops at a wedding regardless of how bad my feet hurt!

I’m doing a flip flop basket never heard of the sock basket but that actually sounds fun! All my friends and family know me for wearing crazysocks (every time we went dress shopping I had some sort of crazy socks on to make everyone laugh when I came out in a big ball gown and lime green socks!) now I want to add socks! Lol

I would worry about socks being slippery on the dance floor.

I’ve never been to a wedding that offered alternate shoe-ware. I honestly don’t see why one would provide this. I mean, it’s up to the guest to wear shoes they feel they can deal with. I feel like this is an un-needed expense. Sorry.

The socks sound like an accident waiting to happen…

Flip flops only–plus your wedding is in July?  I am guessing it’ll be too warm for socks.

Oh no – sorry – IMO, the sock thing would wig people out. Plus, there would be a lot of sliding!
