I’m curious to get some feedback on what flavors of soda we should serve at our reception. This will be accompanying gourmet pizza, salads, fruit, and cake, and people will also have the option of water, beer, wine, or champagne punch, so this is largely for non-drinkers, kids, and those who want to move to something non-alcoholic.
I know which flavors we like, but the options include several rather exotic flavors that people may not be game to try, so I’d love to just get some reactions to what sounds good and what you’d pass on. I’m trying to limit this to four flavors max (maybe fewer) to keep things simple for our bartender.

I LOVE MEXICAN COCA COLA! Seriously though, it tastes so much better than coke with corn syrup (ick!).

This sounds awesome – I just have to ask what company you are getting these flavors through???

@Pwitty, everything but the Coke (of course!) is from DRY Soda, a company out of Portland, OR. Realized I left a flavor off, too—d’oh! Just added cucumber. 🙂

I love cola, and Mexican cola is delicious. I think that would make most soda drinkers happy if they’re not adventurous with their flavors. 🙂
I’d also vote for sparkling water (it’s fancy! 😉 and vanilla bean! And I’d try lemongrass, too.

Mexican coke, plus whichever of the others you like the most. For an “interesting” one, I think execution is way more important than concept. Any of those flavors could be great…or terrible.

I think if you are considering kids, you should think about the mexico coke but also more traditional flavors like grape, orange, what about apple (they have that and its great!), watermelon, etc. Just thinking if you offer a kid a lemongrass soda they are more than likely going to turn their nose up. If you offer them a fruit they can recognize they will try it.

The Vanilla Bean seams the safest if its more for the kids.

The lavendar one I would have to try. Have you sampled any of these?

I’d say go for Mexican Coca-cola
