Okay, so I consider myself and intelligent woman, with that being said: I cannot help but watch Jersey Shore every time it's on! It's like a train wreck and I just. can't. look. away.
Bahahaha!!!!
Any other crazy guilty pleasures out there??
I'm watching it right now.
need a little guilty pleasure :P
@Mrs.tobe: *weeps* Im in canada and I cant watch it yet!
:(
and yes that is my guilty pleasure! I cant wait for the follow up to last week's epi. Poor J-Woww, I love her
@His Lil SantosGirl: I just watched it myself! And I'm not gonna lie. It's funny as hell :o)
I have a whole case of movie theater sized Bottle Caps in my kitchen.
@Bellanouva:Oh Nooooooo! I love her too, she might be the only one that has 1/2 a lick of sense, plus she's fiesty... Always a good quality ;o)
@Mrs.tobe: Yes! I must have my Shore fix! lol
I love Jwoww and Snooki. Im sorry but their chick-romance and sisterhood just rox my sox. I respect Snooki for little else, but she is a girls girl. And J-woww would totally be there to throw down with one's trifling spouse!
:D I said trifling
@Bellanouva: Lord knows there's a whole lotta' triflin' on that show. ;)
Snookie is always good for a laugh! I think my favorite quote might have been in Miami when Mike hoisted her up on that weird camel statue.
"Ow, this hurts my vagina" - As Mike moves to take her down- "No, but I like it..."
I think I almost fell out of my chair laughing.
@Kemma : Ohhhh! What spawned that guilty pleasure?
@Mrs.tobe: Buhahahaha
Thank you for that memory :D
Actually what Im looking forward to is seeing Sammy do a superman punch on Ronnie
(violence is bad, I know, but I really cant wait to see her leave, my bad)!
My other guilty pleasure? UFC lol
@Kemma: I used to watch that every monday night at 6! I couldn't not watch it, John Cena is a babe LOL I even have a shirt with his face on it that says "cena pinned me"
I would have to say Sponge Bob... I cannot pass it up and I can watch it all day long... i know how childish =)
@cyndistar3: Ah! A fellow Spongebob-er! I can literally sing every word to the theme song, and so can FI. Truth: We have no children, and no excuse. :o) But there is a lot of adult humor rolled into that show as well!
@Bellanouva: That punch was pretty entertaining. At least she did more than just pull some extensions out! HA! And I will do my best to keep my lips sealed about this episode until you get to see it!
@Mrs.tobe: aww thank you! indeed Im excited!
Come on MTV.ca post that new video!
*I watch it online*
Mine is probably Toddlers & Tiaras. I don't watch much anymore because I work Friday nights, but man, that show was a trainwreck and no matter how mad got at some of those kids and parents I could not rip my eyes away.
I haven't seen Jersey Shore, but they are going to Italy and that can only lead to trouble. I'm going to have to watch.
The first espisode of Jesery Shore season 3 JUST aired on Wednesday here (Australia) - It's certainly a guilty pleasure of mine and I can't wait for the next episode. It's just such a train wreck!
@Mrs.tobe: I always sing the theme song to my daughter and she looks at me like I am crazy haha
I get so entrenched in the storyline every week. It is embarrassing.
I woke up especially early this morning to watch it since I don't get MTV. I reloaded MTV's website 1000 times until it was finally posted and was upset when they posted the full episode later than usual. I can't help but look forward to it every week.
I'm not as bad with the Jersey Shore addiction as my Real Housewives addiction. The Beverly Hills housewives are so fabulous--crazy rich, gorgeous clothes, perfect hair, frozen faces. I can't look away!
BTW I just saw a picture of Catherine Zeta Jones with no makeup and she kinda looks like J-Woww! Scary...
Oh man. My guilty pleasure is any of the Real Housewives shows. I just LOVE the feisty Atlanta girls, Beverly Hills...they're all just so ridiculous and snotty, New Jersey, well, they're just awesome, and I could go on.
FI hates it, but I make him watch them with me anyway :)
@Pomapoo: HAH! jinx you owe me a coke! :)
I definitely tried to stay away but I gave in and cant help but watch!
@Pomapoo: & @napabridekelsey: Ah, thehouswives are definitely tempting... I've only managed to watch the Atalana one a few times! They are some crazy fools!Kim and her wigs crack me up!
@R.Elliott: I am right there with you!
*sigh*, well I guess it's time to come clean about my guilty pleasure. I love to read, and I love reading raw stuff by people that aren't established authors. So, my guilty pleasure is reading Harry Potter fanfiction.
I swear I'm an adult, but I just can't help it! It will suck you in!
Mine is 'The Hills' FI takes the mick out of me for it, I can't watch it when he's here as he despises it.
My guilty pleasure is New Kids on the Block. I still listen to them all the time, I saw them in concert last summer and I'm seeing them this summer again on their tour with Backstreet Boys.
@Baileyh: Really? I probably missed it, does it come on much music now? I was thinking about that
naw I always watch it online! and they post them after 24 hours!
I still think none of the new shocking reality TV shows will ever be as bad as the old school Maury Show. I went home from work for lunch last week and watched an episode for nostalgia's sake. It was one of those "Who's my baby's daddy?" episodes.
For those of you who haven't had the misfortune of viewing one of these trainwrecks, for each segment of the show a woman comes on with a sob story about how she has this baby and the dad is being a deadbeat. Then the alleged father will say his piece, usually that she's a ho and has slept around with so many other guys that there's no way he's the father. Usually they'll have a picture of the baby next to a picture of the alleged father, and they'll argue over how much the baby does or doesn't look like him. Then they'll yell at each other for a few minutes, until Maury reveals the result of the DNA test.
Often, there will be more than one potential father brought on the show. Sometimes even after testing several men (I've seen one where they tested 6 guys) they still won't know who the father is. Another twist they do a lot is a woman who is in a long-term relationship will confess to having cheated on her SO, and admit that the SO might not really be the father of their baby.
I mean, how much more trashtastic can it get!? I can't believe my parents used to let me watch this after school! It's so bad!
@jayce: um, have you seen the lady who has tested (last I saw) 13 men for her baby's daddy?!?!?!! Maury is one of my guilty pleasures. If I have an especially bad day, to Hulu and Maury I go!!! ;-)
I do not watch Jersey Shore, HOWEVER I'm totally addicted to Jerseylicious. I love Olivia and her spandex. I secretly wish I could rock it too.
@gabrielleelise1981: YES and then she kept crying "why is god doing this to me?!" umm god had NOTHING to do with this mess honey
and yes, bad day time tv is my guilty pleasure - jerry springer included :)
jersey shore too - i just can't stop watching it ha
I can't seem to get into Jersey Shore. I do love Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant. That is high quality entertainment to me. I even have some of my DH's single (male) friends watching 16 and Pregnant after they came over and saw an episode I was watching. They think it's funny.
My real guilty pleasure since I was 13 is General Hospital. I love love love Sonny & Brenda.
@Jayce, I loooove Maury. It is hilarious how spot on your description was! Here's an episode:
http://www.hulu.com/watch/14907/maury-1-man3-women3-babiesyou-are-the-father#s-p4-so-i0
Also the mothers are always 200% sure he's the "baby daddy."
I love The Hills, even though the taping of the show is over. I own some seasons on DVD and I'll still watch the reruns if its on.
I also just got into Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Is there a season 2??? Someone please tell me yes!!!!!
I had another guilty pleasure for awhile, and that was America's Next Top Model. FI HATED it when I watched it! Hahahaha! But eventually it got pretty annoying and sometimes I just had to laugh at how ridiculous Tyra Banks can be.
@Mrs.tobe: I used to tune into her talk show and I swear to god it seemed like she talked over EVERYBODY- it drove me nuts
@Bellanouva: Oh I'm sure. She used to say the most moronic things on ANTM. She would tell the girls that they weren't "smizing" (smiling with their eyes...wow) in their photos. Then proceed to show them herself. She'd say: "this is how you looked in the photo, and now this is me "smizing" (as she opened her eyes and then kind of squinted them back down like an idiot). Then she'd say: "See the huge difference that makes? Work on it."
What a fruit loop.
@Bellanouva: Oh i have no idea!! my sister watches it all the time. I think she gets it from Much.
