my Fiance and i went to the jewerler yesterday to get my wedding band and e-ring sized up, and the lady suggested that we do the soldering now since we will have to make another trip after the wedding to get it done… is it normal to have your rings solder before hand? did anyone else?

I would only do it if you are content to be without your engagement ring until after the wedding.
Personally, I would wait to do it until after the wedding.
There’s nothing so thrilling as seeing your wedding ring and your engagement ring together, legitimately, for the first time during the ceremony.

I did mine before my wedding. My wedding is actually 9 days away so I’ve been without my engagement ring for about a week and a half now. My thinking was that I wouldn’t want to give my ring up after the wedding so I would do it now. It is tough not being able to wear it, BUT it will be SO exciting getting it back with my wedding band at the ceremony.

@julies1949: Well i dont wear my e-ring everyday anyway, i get an allergic reaction to jewerly when i wear it for too long… so yea i am kinda content with being without it 🙂 And i wont see my ring until the ceremony 🙁 my Fiance is picking it up and hiding it till the day.
@yllom10: Oh my Gosh 9 DAYS!!! Happy to hear someone else did it before hand too 🙂

I’m waiting until after the wedding to get it done. We aren’t taking a honeymoon right away, so we will take it in the monday after the wedding and get it done.
I just got my ring, so I’d like to wear it around as much before I have to part with it again for a week!
