Do any ladies have their engagement ring and wedding band soldered together? My wedding band is curved, and while I have only been wearing it for a couple days, it is driving me crazy! My band keeps moving around on my finger and not sitting flush with my e-ring.
Pros & cons of soldering?

I think the main con to soldering your set is that you can no longer just wear the band alone. Since your band is curved, you probably wouldn’t want to do that anyway. The other cons for me are that some soldered sets can look like one very thick ring and I think I’ve read that sometimes once soldered, the rings are too tight.

I would consider soldering if I would not be likely to wear either ring alone. A friend of mine has a wedding band with a slot and she basically puts her engagement ring up into. However, the engaement ring still moves around from side to side. If I had that problem, I’d solder. I am not going to solder b/c I like the option of wearing just my wedding band – I often do with my volunteer job. When I was most recently in the hospital, I jsut wore my wedding band. My mom had her rings soldered but she said that they fit way too tight and she didn’t like how they looked (there was a weird lump) but I think that she went to a lousy place.

My band is going to be similiar to yours, and I know I’m going to get mine soldered…I hate when bands don’t stay in place. You could always buy a plain band to wear on days you don’t want to wear your whole set. Just a thought.

i wouldnt solder mine because you may want to just wear the wedding band or the e ring may need to go to the jewellers sometime and youd have a bare ring hand til you got it back. But if its driving you THAT nuts i’d consider soldering 🙂
