I've never used them but there have been a couple posts on these.. Check out the "Related Posts" that popped up below your post.
Thanks Kirabee. I did read through those before I posted, but since a lot of the feedback was posted by "guests," I was a bit skeptical of what I was reading.
I might just order a pair and try them out. If they work, we'll all get heels. If not - we'll have to go with wedges. I'm crossing my fingers that they actually work!!
Yea, I would probably lean towards trying them out yourself also. Since the reviews are so mixed, it's probably a matter of preference, and since you still have time before your wedding, it's good to be safe! Since you haven't picked your shoes yet, maybe you could pick something with a wider heel or wedge? Those would probably be more comfortable to wear for the whole day too. Not sure if that style would go with your dress or theme, but it's definitely something you could consider!
I actually just purchased some and used them for my shower... I am also having an outdoor wedding and i wanted to try them out before the big day. Over all i was pretty impressed. You still get some slight sinking in the grass, but not nearly as bad as with out them...and you don't get stuck in the grass the way you do without them. I am ordering more for the wedding (I somehow lost one on the day of my shower and i think my cousin's husband found it and had no idea what it was and threw it away). Overall I would say go for it!
I used them for my outdoor wedding, and they did the job. I didn't sink in the grass. My heels were a bit square-shaped, so they we a bit tricky to get on those shoes, but on all normal, round heels they go on and off really easily. I use them all the time, now. The one issue I have with them is using them with really high heels -- they make your heels just a teeny bit taller, and if your heels are super tall it can make for an uncomfortable ankle angle (not unbearably so, but not ideal). They can make a nice gift for your maids. I almost bought them for everyone, and wish I had.
Thanks for the feedback ladies! I'm going to order a pair and try them out. I'll be sure to post my review when I get them.
I was nervous about the same thing. I ordered a pair to try out first, and they fit my heels perfectly. They weren't quite right for one of my friends, though, and she called them and returned them. They took them right back and it wasn't a big deal at all.
So all in all, I would say go for it! Since they're good with returns, it's pretty low risk. And I love mine
I went and did a test-run on the lawn at my venue with the solemates and they worked like a charm.
I used SoulMates recently at a wedding I attended as a guest and they worked out just fine. Like a pp said - there is some sinking, but not nearly as much as with normal heels.
Sadly, they don't fit onto my shoes for the wedding - boo!
Also, if they don't fit, I read somewhere on the weddingbee someone had that same problem and took a blow dryer to it to soften the plastic and they said it worked perfectly.
As promised, I'm providing some initial feedback on the Sole Mates. I ordered these a couple weeks ago, and received them in the mail a few days after ordering them, which was quicker than I expected. They arrived in good condition, and were pretty much what I expected. They're made of rubber, so they're a little flexible, but it seems like the heel size they're compatible with is somewhat limited. The heels of the shoes that I bought today ended up being too big. After a bit of stretching & prying though, I was able to get them on.

I went outside and walked on the grass, and so far so good. To be honest, I don't notice a HUGE difference, but I only walked around for a minute, and I have trouble with heels either way. I've already given these to my bridesmaids and I'll ask them what they think of them, and then I'll post any helpful feedback in case anyone else is looking for it. I know that the type of shoes we all wear are dependent on whether these work. At this point, they're working well enough that we are going to go ahead and use these + heels.
They're just a hair too big for my wedding shoes, but I think they'll help as long as they don't slip off. We'll see. I'm providing them for my bridesmaids too.
Hello Wedding Bees! I used SoleMates for my wedding too and can't say enough good things about them. We got married on a grassy lawn so I bought extras for my guests too. I actually ended up going a little overboard because I now have a bunch left over that I'm selling at a discount.
They are authentic SoleMates, but unfortunately I can't return them because I discarded the boxes and tied each pair together with ribbon in my wedding colors.
I'm selling for $8.95 a pair and I will ship them to you first class mail for free. I'm happy to give a discount if you want to buy multiple pairs. If you're interested, please email me at megan_taormino@yahoo.com.
I posted this in classified but thought I would add to this topic too.

We're having an outdoor ceremony, and my bridesmaids & I need to find a solution to the high heel/grass dilemma. I just came across something called Solemates -- http://www.thesolemates.com/
After a bit of searching online, I've read both good and bad reviews. The good reviews say that they worked perfectly, the bad reviews say that they didn't fit their heels.
If you've used these, can you please let me know how they worked for you? At $10 apiece + shipping, I'm hoping to get some feedback before ordering. We haven't picked shoes yet, so we can buy shoes/heels based off of what works with the Solemates.
Thanks!!
