We had a solid ink printer at work, and it printed perfectly on thick cardstock. It was smooth though, so I'm not sure how it would print on textured. The printing was perfect, though-- much better than our normal laser or inkjet printers, and the printing had a nice sheen to it.
Yeah, my former workplace had one too, and I loved the quality of printing it provided - and the operating costs really were were comparable to an inkjet (although if Xerox hadn't donated them when we bought a huge photocopier, they are pretty pricey to purchase).

Beekeeper
Hey bees - I need some advice!
I'd like to make/print my own invites and other paper products, and J has a printer we can use - but it's a Solid Ink Printer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printer_%28computing%29 - scroll halfway down to see what that means if you're like me), and I am unsure if it will print well on heavier/textured paper. Anyone have experience using one of these?
I was considering paperandmore's linen cardstock, and can obviously order a sample pack, but I'd like to order even that knowing what I'm getting into ahead of time. :)
Thanks for your help!!
