GORGEOUS RING !!

A Cathedral Setting seems to be my naturally favoured style, in that I am an Encore Bride and both my ERings have been Catherdral rings (diamond atop an arch)

The first one was a traditional looking Cathedral Ring (much like yours) and it was also a Solitaire

This time round, the arch isn’t as pronounced as it was with my first ring some 30+ years ago… infact I picked out the ring because I loved it (was drawn to it)… and I honestly had no idea that it had anything in common with the ERing from my first marriage

It was only after further time with it on my hand, that I came to realize it was more of a modified Cathedral Ring this time… the arch is apparent, but only from the side, and if you are really looking for that element (the feature diamond sitting low not high)

In actually it is also a lot like a Bridge Setting… except there is no clear pathway underneath the feature diamond, which is a key element in that design.

@Priya24:  I love solitaires with high cathedral setting…This is my girl

taking her in for an upgrade for center stone and polishing up of the prongs to get rid scratches on them… the downside to a catheral is you must maintain it well and not work in a job where ering gets in the way…Once upgrade is done and my girl is all polished up, I’ll post the updated pics
