@QueenJenJen:  good ol’ halos!  😛 that’s why I couldn’t ever reset my stone to a solitare!  I’d miss the coverage!

@QueenJenJen:  Very cool! If I get the heirloom ring I may be getting, I’ll be getting a bigggg 2.1 carat solitaire, and I personally wouldnt want a Halo with a stone that big on my size 4 hand… but if we dont get that our budget allows for my like a .6 carat in which case I totally want a halo to give me some more bling!!

@QueenJenJen:  this was good to see the comparison.  i’ve seen halos of different sizes too though.  this halo was about medium size.  i prefer the smaller halo with a large centre, it doesn’t get lost.  when the halo stones get too big, it makes it look too much like a cluster.

I think it’s a shame to lose that big beautiful stone in a halo.  I prefer it shining on its on in the solitaire!

I just love the classic solitaire for an e ring. I would LOVE to have a colored gem RHR with a halo though! yum.

I adore the solitaire; it’s a lovely ring. I think the halo sort of takes away from the center stone, but then again I think halos are a bit overplayed these days. They’re lovely, don’t get me wrong, but I see them too often so they all just sort of blend into one another.

I like both! Both are perfectly “classy”.

I think it just depends on your taste… one is not necessarily better than another.

I love my halo because it’s a good contrast w. my yellow diamond. It also adds extra sparkle and I LOVE sparkle. The extra finger coverage is nice as well.

I tried on solitaires of different sizes and they just didn’t do it for me. Not all halos do it for me either!
