So I bought my Cinderella dress from Alfred Angelo. It has been my dream dress for as long as I can remember. I had all kinds of issues with AA like telling me my dress was there and after a 3 hour drive it wasn’t, there was a large hole in my veil, etc. Thank goodness I have plenty of time. Anyway I finally have the right dress, veil, etc. The dress is a little too small for me and I am freaking out.
I am a plus size bride with a very large chest. I do plan on losing weight before the wedding. But have any AA Cindrella brides either worn a corset under their dress or made the back into a corset back? I think that would support me better also. I don’t have any of the proper undergarmets right now.
I just need some reassurance that my dream dress will work! It’s not very small-just a bit….an inch or so…
Thanks bees! And if anyone knows of a good seamstress in the DE/Southeastern PA region please let me know. There is no way I am going back to AA for my alterations!

@megs102: You still have plenty of time and the proper undergarments will make a huge difference in the fit of the dress. Corset backs are great because they allow you to make a customized fit for maximum support and fit. In addition if anything changes in your fit between the final fitting and your wedding day a corset back can be adjusted to fit you perfectly. Wish you the best!

Thank you! I keep telling myself I have plenty of time and I know bridal sizes aren’t the same as street sizes. It just had me a little down/depressed. I appreciate your sweet words!

@megs102: If your date is December of 2014 you have TONS of time to get it altered! I wouldn’t get it altered earliest 6 months before… even that is really early! You might lose weight, gain it back, lose it again all before you get it altered. And don’t sweat it, either way, you’ll look gorgeous!
The corset back is a great option for you! I looked at the dress and if done right I think could go with the dress, just make sure whoever you pick has great reviews! Good luck!

I wore the same dress and I used a longline bra very similar to this one, it worked great! I’m a 38 DD on a good day, and I was really worried about letting the girls hang loose: http://www.barenecessities.com/va-bien-longline-convertible-bustier-513_product.htm?pf_id=VaBien513&search=&manual_cm_sp=SlotLocation-_-R2C3-_-VaBien513
