So, thanks in advance for allowing the vent. 🙂 Today we had put aside to clean our room out of suspicion that we had one or two bedbugs. Apparently one or two bed bugs don’t exist. After spending lots of money on having laundry washed, plus groceries, we realize that there are in fact so many bugs, a new bed, frame, etc. is needed.
Also, my phone fell out of my pocket and into the toilet. 🙁
I almost am excited to go back to work tomorrow, where my issues are more related to teenagers refusing to talk to me and calling me names. 🙂
It’s okay, because hopefully by this time next week it’ll be funny and not so dumb. And luckily everything is open late even though it’s Sunday.
Okay vent done. Thank you. 🙂

Bed bugs are HORRIBLE! You should call in an expert because they like to live in carpets, behind wallpaper, in picture frames etc. They can ozonate the whole room and kill them in one go, but you have to be out for a couple of days. I went through all this when I lived in residence for university, it SUCKED! Also, put your ENTIRE wardrobe in the freezer or have it professionally laundered at REALLY high heat otherwise they won’t be killed.
So sorry you’re dealing with so much crap, it sucks. I’ve heard putting a waterlogged phone in a bag of rice overnight helps to draw out all the water.

They say when it rains, it pours! Always happens all at once. But hopefully that’ll be your bad luck for the month and things will be super awesome for a while now! 🙂

Oh no! Man, bed bugs are my worst fear… I’m on my coop board and whenever I hear discussion of someone in the building having them I start itching uncontrollably. Then I heard that some people aren’t allergic to them, so you can have them without knowing it, but I’ve convinced myself that I am sensitive/allergic enough to everything that that would never be the case for me.
I have also heard that the rice trick works for sucking out the moisture. Worth giving it a try…

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and support.
Yeah the bed bugs–my roommate had them when we first moved in, but that was more than 2 years ago and they didn’t really spread to anywhere else. I’ve been getting weird bites for about two months now, and I think was just in denial because they didn’t look like bed bug bites and didn’t itch. But, I saw a bug, and my denial was shattered. Luckily, Brad is a supervisor at a home improvement store and is knowledgable about this stuff. 🙂 So we’re now all cleaned up and the cracks are filled in and all is hopefully better with that.
And my phone is currently sitting in a bowl of rice. 🙂 So my fingers are crossed.
And I’m happy that this week I have a day and a half off from work, thanks to working for a Jewish agency. So…hopefully things will move in a more positive direction.

@judithsr: Not everyone reacts to bed bug bites! I didn’t by my roommate certainly did!!! They’re so yucky and unfortunately a bit of a pandemic right now 🙁
