No no no.  You went through a huge post about what shoes to get for strassing- I remember this.  You have a legit need for thick heels and you LOVED the ones you picked.  KEEP YOUR SHOES.

If you love the shoes you picked for strassing, I wouldn’t change!  YOU are the only who’s opinion matters in this.  Skinny heels don’t work well for me either.  I’m much better with either a thick heel or a wedge.  You really don’t want to be anxious because you are wearing shoes that you aren’t comfortable in on your wedding day.

Keep with the prior plan!  You want wedding shoes you can wear all night.  The ones you picked are pretty while also being functional.  That’s way more important than a thinner heel!

I agree with PP’s – if you love your original shoes and they’re comfortable and you’re happy with the way the strassing turned out, then you rock those heels!  While I think it’s helpful to get tips and advice from the bees, none of us will be at your wedding so you do what YOU want! πŸ™‚ I do like the alternative that you found, but if you don’t think you’ll feel comfortable and will be self conscious about the heel, don’t get them.  You are going to be on your feet all day/night on your wedding day and you will want to feel confident and comfortable in the shoes you’re wearing.  Just keep the originals ones πŸ™‚

@hiroshymatetrastar:  Haha!  I can get that.  I love wedges, but heels like the ones you posted as your runner up choice would have me twisting my ankle (or threatening to) for the entire wedding!  Definitely stick with your original choice.  πŸ™‚  For what it’s worth, I think they are perfect!

Is your wedding dress shorter than floor length?  If not, and you take the shoes off after the first dance, you’ll be holding it up all night, which will get annoying (speaking from experience here).  Perhaps a lower heel with no platform?  Personally, I think the platform is obvious in all of the shoes and looks cartoonish, like Minnie Mouse.  But that’s just my opinion.  I loved my wedding shoes, but since the dress was long, so one ever saw them.  So in a way, it is a way to have some fun and not worry what others think since no one will see them (but again, if you plan to take them off, just think of how it will feel to be holding your dress off the floor, dancing and mingling, all. night. long).  For an outside wedding, I highly recommend something like Heels Above to prevent thin heals from sinking into the ground.  Or wear thick heels/wedges.  But make sure you wear a fresh pair for your wedding.  I wore a pair I’d worn before to our rehearsal and the heel pierced thru (but better to happen at rehearsal and learn from it then at the real thing!).  Heels Above don’t work for super thin stilletos though.  My BM had such shoes, and found a different product with the same idea that worked for skinny heels.

I say keep the shoes you love!! It’s your wedding day vision that matters, no one else’s!
