I ordered the following through VistaPrint:
Business card size insert
BEWARE: Do NOT order these in different cardstock:
5X7 100 premium matte (upgrade charge)
4×5 recycled matte (Upgrade charge)
Business card-standard matte
I received them today and they are all different colors (Some lighter & some darker)
NOTE: I have a linen texture background in IVORY.
In tears, basically…I called VistaPrint and they completely edited the order for me.
Upgraded all of the cardstock at NO additional charge and sent them to me at NO charge and Free EXPRESS shipping.
Never have I experience customer service like this.

@SouthernBee33: I’m glad they fixed the order for you, but it seems pretty common that they botch up the original order badly.
I ordered my graduation invitations from them, and half the cards were bent, half the envelopes had black marks on them, and I also received someone else’s baby shower invitations mixed in with my invitations, and someone’s beauty salon magnets.
I hope that the fixed order turns out better for you, OP!

@chic_and_fabulous: Oh goodness, I hate to laugh but they sent you someone’s baby shower invites and beauty salon magnets?! Hahaha.
Oh, VistaPrint. Let’s get it together.
This time it was my fault, since I ordered all different cardstocks.
Honestly, I didn’t even think twice about the color looking different on a recycled matte vs 100 lb matte.
I ordered our STD magenets through VP and they came out PERFECT! No issues on that order.

@SouthernBee33: I look forward to seeing your invitations if you’d be willing to post when they come in! 🙂

@chic_and_fabulous: Yes, absolutely! I was HOPING I was going to do that tonight.
There’s a little bit of DIY to it… So I’m gonna need my Bee’s advice!!

I just had a great experience with them as well. worm aide a mistake on my std magnets and didn’t notice it until I received them.
i called vistaprint about my mistake and they edited the std to fix it and mailed me out a new set for no charge. They even included the fastest shipping. I called them on Friday and got the New ones on Wednesday.
they were awesome

they do so much business, it’s not rare that they mess up. we ordered christmas cards from them one year about 5 years ago, and we got someone else’s cards instead of ours. they fought me on it, said i was lying. so i haven’t ever ordered from there again.

We ordered our announcements through them and it went well!

@JessieR: They’re great about fixing issues like that!
@colorofmyheart: Yes, such a big company like that I can see many mistakes happening. I can’t believe they argued on it! I didn’t even have to ask them to send me a new set, they did it automatically. I’m sorry you had such a bad experience.
@iloverocks: This is the first time I’ve ever had an issue. Honestly it was my fault becuase I chose 3 different carstocks. But, they were more than willing to help me out!

@SouthernBee33: Ha! I’ll top that! I did my shower invitations with 2 sides and a dark patterned background with light text. It was THE SAME background image on the front and back.
However when I got the card, the color on the front and back of the SAME card (so ONE paper) was NOT the same AT ALL.
Seriously, I couldn’t even belive it. They were helpful and reprinted like 4-5 times to try and fix it but kept asking me all these questions about my file and I’m like… it was the SAME image. I would have been okay with EITHER color, but you would expect the front and back to print the same…
It took forever to go through so many versions even with the upgraded shipping each time.
And they suck and bleeds and cropping…. but that was another issue with another order… 😛

@Eradicatereality: Hahahahaha! OH MY! I can’t believe that! The same cardstock!? I’m glad it “eventually” got fixed…
I’m praying they fix it because I have no other options!

UPDATE- Got all of my products back –yet again, all the wrong colors. They refuse to reprint for me due to their printing color consitency. And only will give a refund.
The 5×7 invite is right and the business card is correct–but the RSVP is a completely different color.
I am in tears you guys. I don’t know what to do. I used all of my resources on this project. Groupons, retail me not, hiring a graphic designer…
I’m so upset.

@SouthernBee33: That’s awful that they are still wrong. I know it wouldn’t be as cheap (probably), but maybe you could order the RSVPs in the invite size, just with extra white space, and then cut them down? That way you could keep the two the match and are correct now.

@lynnielou33193: Not sure I understand, haha.
@DaniLyn: That is a good point. It seems like a ton of extra work… The linen background is a bit darker on the 5×7 and insert and the 4×5 is a bit lighter…
Do you think it’s a major deal breaker? Should I just sent them out as is???
