that is wierd advice! I hope you are resting tho and having two days off a week for your body to recover it can be a negative if you go every day of the week.

There is a possibility for over use repitition to damage the muscle but thats if you go a bit silly and dont listen to your body.

I agree with ccranetobe, maybe they are saying you are working out too much? If you don’t let your muscles rest two days a week you might strain a muscle or do other damage to your body. BUT on your off days you can just do cardio, like going on a run, to make up for it 🙂

Im doing the same soon to be mrs… minus yoga as I dont fit into my dress either. Its a worrying feeling.

That’s bizarre advice, of course it’s possible to tear muscle but only if you do something wrong, and it certainly wouldn’t affect your weight! Saying you’re “working out” doesn’t really help though, what exactly are you doing? You need to do a combination of weights and cardio, with rest days. You also need to consume less energy than you’re expending, without starving yourself. Give us some more details and we might be able to help 🙂 (And stop listening to advice from stupid people :))
