Yaaaay! Ours was our KitcheAid mixer..I was so happy! I am actually surprised at the gifts we have gotten, most of them are fun "not necessary stuff" yet no one has bought us dinner pates or cups or silverware haha.
Congrats on the kitchen aid! I check my registry daily to see if anyone has bought us our ice blue kitchen aid mixer yet. It's the gift I want the most. I bake several times a month and would use that thing all the time!!
My first was a check for $200, second was an ice cream/frozen yogurt maker. Both awesome! Congrats on the vase! If you never have fresh flowers, you could purchase some nice looking silk ones.... or give your boy a hint hint!
A four quart stock pan :) that we got the day after our shower from his aunt, who stressed that "This is your wedding present!" haha. She's awesome though... a little quirky.
The first thing I thought when I saw this was "Maybe it was the Hendricks", LOL!!!! Pretty vase VM! Now you have an excuse to buy flowers every week!
Congrats on your first gift. I posted about mine a few weeks ago. It was the punchbowl with glasses set.
Woo hoo! Ours was a Dyson vacuum!! We never thought we would actually get it and then we were ecstatic when it showed up at our door! I love vacuuming now!
Another thought is to display somethign else in your vase. I have one vase that has river rocks in it and another one that I have a whole bunch of corks from wine bottles displayed. They look really cool! We hardly ever have fresh flowers because we have 2 cats and they always eat them!
Nice! Now you'll have to have fresh flowers! Or at least when the person who gifted it is around. I can't remember our first gift, only because the shower was a hectic day. We did get a beautiful Tiffany's crystal bowl from step dad's client. Totally unexpected and couldn't of been nicer!

Our first gift was a monogrammed market tote/picnic basket from one of my mom's coworkers. It has been so useful with wedding planning. Our second gift was a cupcake/cake carrier from one of my wonderful bridesmaids (who knows me and my love for cupcakes very well!)
