HAHAHA.  That’s awesome.  At my shower one of my husband’s cousin’s gave us a crystal bowl that was CLEARLY a regift from their wedding a couple years ago.  The box was all beat up around the corners and had seen some better day.

we got a few regifts too. my favorite was one from my husband’s cousin, she didn’t know if she’d be able to come to the shower until right before and then she got us something that was target online. (we know b/c we tried to exchange it and we couldn’t). there’s no way she’d be able to order something online in that short amount of time!

Hah! We didn’t get anything that bad, but for my shower we got a serving bowl from a friend of mine. The box was in pretty good shape, but ironically, the pattern is the same as the one SHE registered for 2yrs ago. Hmmm… LOL

We got two rocks, once with love painted on it and one with joy painted on it. We also got some kind of weird pocket-sandwich maker thingie.

Years ago my mom attended a shower at work. The people in her department decided to go in on a gift together and one woman said she would take care of purchasing the gift. Well, when the gift was opened, it was an old serving dish with food actually crusted on it! My mom was mortified and went to the bride later with a more suitable replacement.
