I’m not pregnant.
But I can totally see how this guy thought I was. I’ve gained a lot of weight in the last 6 months and I don’t see him all that often so I’m sure it was a shock. I never gain weight in my stomach and lately I have been. Turning 30 sure has had all sorts of fun things in store for me.
If this isn’t motivation for the wedding in 6 months I don’t know what is.

@skippydarling: Oh my gosh! I want to kick the guys butt for you. Apparently he never saw this:
If you decide you want to tone up, there are plenty of us on myfitnesspal and loseit.
My body really started to rebel when I turned 30 too, slowly I’m getting back into shape.

ugh this happened to my bff about 2 weeks again. and it was the creepy man at the gas station who asked her. she was mortified!

@gemchick82: I completely agree – I see women doing this to other women. “So…when are you due?” I don’t care if everyone at work is talking about Susie Q being pregnant….until I hear it from Susie Q herself – I’m not saying ANYTHING to her about it.
Until a woman is crowning or telling me she’s pregnant – don’t expect a peep out of me.

Ugh, why do people ever ask this question? I’m sorry that happened to you.
Once at work my female coworkers were sharing stories of times when people asked them if they were pregnant (when they weren’t). A few of them are thin and absolutely in NO WAY look pregnant! I decided then that it can really happen to anyone regardless of what your body looks like, and people are idiots.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m fat. One day, I parked in the “expectant mother” parking because every other damn spot was full. All day everyone was asking my assistant if I was pregnant.
Now she is (clearly – 7mo) pregnant. She’s been wearing maternity clothes for over a month. Anyway… I brought her a diaper cake for her shower and so many people took that as the perfect opportunity to ask.. so, is she? (To her) Are you? Then talking to another guy about weekend plans “yeah, I have my shower, so…” “Oh you ARE pregnant?!” Yes…

Blegh. Yes, a rumor when around work about me being pregs. Actually just having bad bloating for an extended period of time. -_-
In the land of not mentioning someone being pregnant, we had a friend who had become pregnant, unbeknownst to us. Her BF had been keeping it a secret from the guys at work (he worked with my DH). So we invite them over for dinner one night, and we hadn’t seen her in months. Well her belly is out to
> here. So I’m trying to avoid asking outright, because OMG what if I’m wrong right? So I ask my DH in the kitchen “uh, is she pregnant? “I don’t know” “what do you mean you don’t know? Wouldn’t your friend have said something?” “I assume he would have, but he didn’t, soooo ?”
…. meanwhile I’m getting drinks.. I’m like “do I offer her a drink???”
Maximum awkward. So confusing.
It turned out she was like 8 months along. Which we figured but we were so scared to say the wrong thing lolol.

@skippydarling: That happened to me after my gap year. I put on a lot of weight in just 8 months.I went back to my school to get some paperwork done and my Maths teacher went like: “OMG!! Are you pregnant?? Congratulations!!!” and I was like “Err… No, just fat!”
My poor teacher’s face went white and she apologised for the mistake but… the pain was done!
(And after that I bumped into my EX, feeling like a COW…)

I am so sorry!
I have the same mantra: I do not ask a woman when she’s due or if she’s pregnant unless she tells me first!
@HappySky7: Ugh.. i am waiting for the rumours to start about me at work. Since having my DD, whenever I am bloated, it looks like I’m about 3 months pregnant. I’ve caught people eyeing my belly (i’m petite, so any increase in size anywhere on my body is noticable). I know they’re probably already talking…not to mention everyone asks me all the time when we are planning our next baby…blargh.

- Wedding: October 2013 - Vine Street Church
Unless there is child actually physically coming out of the vagina of the woman in question, no one should EVER ask a woman if she is pregnant :|.

Ha. I lost almost all of my baby weight within like, 4 months of having my daughter…and have since gained it alllll back. And I definitely look pregnant in some clothes….nobody has said anything to me, but people stare at my belly all the time!
