I hate when people do that. You'd think if other people can smell it, they would be able to as well!
I keep slippers under my desk for when I want to kick off my sometimes painfull shoes, but I hope my shoes aren't stinky themselves.
I just wear comfortable flat shoes, so I never have this problem and thankfully no one at my job takes their shoes off!
Yeah I wouldn't walk around without shoes on....sometimes I'll take mine off under my desk, but that's about it hah. And yeah...I always wear flats and only keep a pair of heels under my desk so that if I feel like I need to look "fancier" I have them hah.
Eww...
I just imagine all the germs on the floor from other people's shoes. Ick. I would never do that, although, I do kick my shoes off when I'm just sitting on my desk.
That is so weird. I hate driving in super high heels, so I always have a pair of flats in the car to put on. LOL. And I thought that was weird!
Do you have an employee health and safety person or an hr person on site? Tell them they are contributing to an unsafe work environment in case they slip on or step on something. You don’t want any OSHA complaints if this person hurt themselves while they were walking around barefoot and making company pay for their time off. (Can you tell I work in a manufacturing environment? I’m in finance and we can’t even wear open toed shoes and I don’t even walk through the manufacturing parts of the building.)
I think One Day without Shoes is sometime this week. I did this last year and got some strange looks in my classes, but it got people asking me why I was doing it. Building awareness for people in third world countries who don't have basic necessities.
Gross. Give me a pamphlet about needy people. Please wear your shoes in public.
That's just unprofessional. The One Day Without Shoes was Tuesday. There's no excuse to do that today. My boss started doing that recently (though he keeps his shoes on), and it's rubbed off on a lot of the staff here. Walking around without shoes on like it's no big deal.
gross!!! haha..I do that at work, I hope I don't smell like feet! I don't walk far though...
Ewww! I hate feet. Yuck. lol Grossest thing was on a plane 1 1/2 years ago (14 hr direct flight) and the guy next to me not only took off his shoes (no socks), he put one of his feet ON my carryon bag on the floor in front of me. EWWWWWW! My husband was on the other side of me and I'm literally pointing and swearing and freaking out. lol SO gross!!
I was riding the bus home after work tonight and a girl got on without shoes on...ewww. She was carring heels in her hands. But nope, not wearing any...and when she got off tbe bus she didn't put them back on either. i'm not really a germaphope, but stepping on stones/rocks/twigs/broken glass, does not seem too pleasant. oh, and i should also add this was almost 1am, so she definitely wouldn't be able to see everything she could potentially step on.
Okay, I love walking around barefoot, but not in public. That is absolutely skeevy.
