People steal plants? Who does that? That’s just strange and slightly creepy. Sorry, I hope you get them back. 🙁

Wait… do you mean they ripped them out of the ground & took them away?! WTF?! I mean c’mon!

It’s not like you can put them in your yard after you take them from your neighbours’ Mr Plant Bandit! What a jerk!

Next time you see her, strike up a conversation and tell her how worried you are that a dog may have run off with your plant that has pesticides sprayed all over it..

What kind of a person would steal plants?!? Oh, wait a minute, I got this – the kind who doesn’t knwo how to grow their own. It’s crazy. If it makes you feel any better, you’re not alone. It happened to my mother once and she was furious. She actually found out who did it and took her rosemary right back! 🙂

Man, that’s ghetto. Can you imagine being the person that steals front porch plants? Ghetto.

@MsMeow:  Ya that sucks.  People are so dang brazen now a days.

I no longer put stuff outside the front of our house (makes me sad) … as people it seem will steal anything.

We’ve had plants stolen too, and Fall Decor things like a Hay Bale, Corn Stalks, Pumpkin etc.

We’ve had neighbours all along our street also hit.  Taken items have included Garden Statues (you know those cute cement animals / gnomes, that sort of thing)… a decorative Welcome Flag… even a Wreath right off of someone’s front door (and that one was inside the screen door).  Other Neighbours have told me they’ve had their Canada Flag stolen off the bracket that is attached to their garage, and even a whole string of Christmas Lights (we figure for those two that the thieves needed at least a step stool, if not a ladder)

Was a time when people took great pride in their homes, and others said “Wow that is nice decorating, we should do that”

Now people can’t be bothered to go search out the items to recreate the look for themselves, they just steal it.  Sick.

Mr TTR and I got tired of it all… and now we only decorate indoors or in our back yard, but it makes me sad, cause I always think it looks so nice when you drive up to your house and see seasonal items… very welcoming.

Like you, I am looking forward to the day we move to a better neighbourhood !!

People have done that to my friend too. He lives in a teeny tiny town in an upstairs apartment that’s above a restaurant. He’s got a “back porch” that is basically a long stairway that he lines with plants. Someone stole a bunch of his plants and a big broom…like really? Wtf??

People are such jerks!

Sadly, it’s a thing. We had a little patio garden this summer and eventually just gave up because our neighbors were getting to our herbs and banana peppers before us! finally one of our neighbors in another apartment building (across a narrow bit of grass and our patios face each other) ran into me and told me she’d seen our next door neighbor going after the plants while we were at work.

I was livid but nothing really got resolved as the woman doesn’t speak enough english and I don’t speak any Indian dialect. Our property manager just shrugged and burried her head in the sand.

I had a huge fall mum taken off my front porch last year. It made me so sad!

@raziel1687:  You can have mine. 🙂

I hate having to water them. I forget they’re out there and then they start to die. Lol
