I started working out in mid December and today I stepped on the scale and went down from 147 to 138. Now I do not rely on the scale to gauge my weight loss and health, BUT there is something about seeing a change in numbers that makes me a little happy. Does anyone feel this way? Makes me remember all the hard work and dedication IS worth it. Don’t give up ladies!

@MrsShev: Oh yes! Seeing the scale drop is the ONLY way I have been able to stick with it this time! Granted I only weigh once a week. I am also doing measurements every two weeks which helps put things in perspective. Good luck! Keep up the good work!

@MrsShev: I definitely do not rely on the number on the scale. I try to focus on how I feel instead, but I do agree that being able to see the actual numbers go down is a great feeling!

Congrats on your weight loss! Watching the scale go down when you’ve worked hard is a great motivator.

Yes!! I know they say you shouldn’t look at the scale, but I’m sorry, I need to see the numbers I want to see.

Yep! I’m so happy on Wednesdays and Sundays when I see those numbers going down!!
But I went on Spring Break a couple days ago and replaced water with beer, and vegetables for fried shrimp and when I came back, I saw the numbers go up 4lbs and I was DEVASTATED.
Motivation to never do that again.
