Ok, so I think I have decided on a dress that my mom will make me...but I am concerned as I am an apple shape (you know the same size bust, waist and hips). I am having a hard time finding dresses to make sure what my mom is making is going to work out. I thought an empire waisted dress was the to go, but I just look pregnant. I really don't want to look pregnant on my wedding day. Does anyone have any advice on what kind of dress might look good on me?

I am also an apple shape. I found a dress that has a band of lace and beading just under the bust. It gives the illusion of a waist. Then the skirt is just A-Line. So anything with a defined waste and A-Line skirt is going be good.

did you try a corset top? I've seen those do wonders to push your parts up, down and out of the middle!

mechibaby-that's my dress! haha. I was going to say, I'm a little more pear shaped, but very boxy and that dress gives me a waist like never before (with a nice bustier that is)

i highly recommend it and it was only like $200
