That is such a cute story. It made me laugh and tear up at the same time. Maybe for Valentine's Day, if he can keep it inside long enough

As a girl that has had NO expectations for the date of a proposal, lemme just say...
EEEEEeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEeeeee!!!!!!
So, my bf is getting pretty squirrely this week. He is the worst lier ever, haha, and he always fails to keep a good plan under wraps. Well, his mom has been nicer than usual to me, calling me to say "Merry Christmas," even though her son was with her for the holidays (meaning, I was on the other side of the country from bf and his family, but they went out of their way to see how I was doing...NEVER has happened hahaha). So, bf comes back from trip and we exchange gifts and I cooked him his favorite meal tonight; tagliatelle with boar ragu (haha, I know, so random) and crepes filled with nutella. He starts gettin' all shifty-like as we eat by candlelight and I'm like "What's up, dude?" and he just gets red and says that Christmas apart made him think about our relationship a lot and that he loves me very much and that he wishes the rest of his life was just like this: chill night, good food, and he and I. I melt, of course, and say that I wish that too. He immediately says, in a rapid quickfire, "Oh good, that's good, that's great, that makes me very happy, that's good...yes...right..." Hahaha, he was rambling and I just continued to eat, trying to keep the ecstatic smirk off my face. I have a feeling that the wheels are turning and something will happen soon!! Keep your fingers crossed!!
