Prompted by my response on another thread…
We get a lot of posts about drama, questions on etiquette and other confusing/ awkward situations, so I wanted to start a nice post. 🙂
What is something nice/sweet/flattering/unexpected-in-a-good-way that someone has done for you recently?
My thing is my bachelorette party: We are going up to Big Bear Mountain (tomorrow morning– yay!) for two nights. We’re going to go on a zip line, get massages, shop around, cook, drink and all kinds of fun stuff. 🙂 My MOH (sister) and mom planned it all, and I am so flattered that they put so much effort in. And I’m very flattered that everyone who is going with us has been excited and not bringing drama into our fun time. Everyone is coming together and it is making me feel really special.
So girls, what about you?

I was just moving into my trailer and I had some pretty shoddy stairs. It was raining and I had a heavy box of stuff with a 20lb bag of dog food on top. This cable guy who was across the street came over and helped me carry my stuff in.
It was really unexpected and really nice.

Well I’d have to say my neighbor calling 911 because she thought someone was breaking into my apartment today was pretty awesome.
But I’ve already talked about that today so I’d have to say a couple days ago my dog took off running out of no where and his leash flew out of my hand and he wouldn’t come back and some guy who was out walking his dog chased him down for me.

My last day at my waitressing job, my coworkers threw me a surprise goodbye party. Everyone came and they bought me balloons and a cake! I bawled my eyes out. I never felt so loved!

Random dude bought my girl and I dinner at Mickey D’s because I realized I didn’t have my debit card or any cash.

@SoontobeMrsA: That is so so sweet and reminds me so much of my FI. He likes to occassionally pay for random people’s meals when we got out for brunch… usually, a single mother with her kids or an older couple, completely anonymously. It’s nice that people like that exist and also other people who are appreciative!

this thread brings joy to my heart:) I will definitely subscribe:)
I am a scrapbooker. my friends are scrapbokers (duh) there is a convention coming up next weekend that there is NO WAY i could afford to go. AT all… Imagine my surprise when one of them paid for my entrance into the convention… and the other one paid for me to crop (which means you scrapbook with a bunch of other people LOL)
anyhow, its pretty amazing. I am working on a thank you gift right now. Its a CD with a bunch of friendship songs on it for both of them, and I will design the cover. I am so absolutely thankful for htis experience:) And i was shocked to find out I was going… I am thankful!

A friend of mine who recently got married is letting me wear her veil. I don’t have the $ to buy one, so it was amazing and so appreciated. No body just does nice things anymore, but she is an amazingly beautiful person, inside and out.

I love this kind of thread. My aunt called me out of the blue and told me she took 4 days off to help with whatever I need. she said I had always been her princess and she wanted to make sure on my day I felt like one. She made me cry. We were very close growing up but had grown distant the last 10 years. It is truely amazing how something like this makes you feel.
