I'm still not completely convinced on mine but:
1) New: dress
2) Old: One of my grandma's rings, hanging on the bouquet
3) Borrowed: still looking
4) blue: lingerie and garter.
So far, this what I have so far:
Old: Button from my mom's wedding dress sewn on to my own
New: My dress
Borrowed: not sure yet..... working on it
Blue: I'm thinking an aquamarine ring (It's my birthstone). Also there will be blue in my bouquet
Old: Still trying to figure out something old. It may be the lace from my grandmother's mantilla sewn onto the mantilla she is going to be helping me make!
New: My dress and shoes
Borrowed: most likely my grandmother's jewlery she wore for their 50th wedding anniversary party- It's beautiful diamonds and pearls set.
Blue: My orange and Blue polka dot Garter!
New: my dress
Old: my moms earrings
borrowed: my friends crinoline
blue: bow on garter
New: my dress
Old: my great-grandmother-in-law's ring
Borrowed: my friend's pearl earrings
Blue: the lining of my pillbox hat!
Old: Picture frame with a picture of my mom when she got married (she passed away from cancer 10 1/2 years ago)
New: My gown
Borrowed: Not sure yet; probably the memorial vase set for my mom that I gave to my sister
Blue: Shoes
I am wondering who takes care of this. Does the bride take care of this along with her mother? I am thinking I should tell my mother that I want to follow this tradition. I am thinking that the something old will be my shoes, the dress will be new, the borrowed will be a piece of jewelry for my mom, and the old will be a brooch to put on my bouquet.
I have no idea what I'm doing for most of it.
Something old?
Something new...my dress
Something borrowed?
Something blue...Fiance will not tell me what it is and assures me I will love it and not to worry...but he is taking care of this. Yeah, I'm a little nervous. LOL
I LOVE sapphires, waived on getting a sapphire e-ring so I'm hoping it something sapphire-y. :)
i plan to do this but i kept getting stuck on the something blue...the usuals liek shoes and garter wont work...i have my garter and its a NY jets one so its green and white, and i dont think i would want to do blue shoes with my dress....but i just had an idea to maybe have the florist tuck in a blue flower somewhere in the bouquet thats not real obvious. i went to wedding not long ago where the bride painted her toes a light blue, cute idea but i dont plan to do that.
new will be alot of things...my dress, my shoes, jewelry, veil, etc.
old, im not sure yet. borrowed is tough too, but i think i will see if my grandma has something sentimental that i can use...which could maybe be old and borrowed.
Old: My grandmother's wedding veil
New: My wedding gown
Borrowed: My BF's diamond drop earrings *swoon*
Blue: My London Blue Topaz ring gifted to my by DH for my 28th birthday
Old and Borrowed were my two mysteries up until about 3 months before the wedding when they were offered up.
1. old....dont know yet
2. new...my dress
3. borrowed...a pair of my moms diamond stud earrings for my top hole
4. blue....I have a ring that FI bought me but I'm totally crushing on these sexy lillte bride panties from Victoria's Secret so I may have two something blues
Something Old: my grandmothers wedding band, to wear on my right ring finger
Something new: I think Ill probably do shoes or if I end up getting blue shoes then Ill say my dress
Something borrowed: Either FSILs wedding jewelry or her diamond studs
Something blue: possibly shoes if I think theyll go with my dress, if not then probably a blue garter or lingerie
Ive got this allll figured out! ;)
OLD,BORROWED, *and* BLUE: My mom's platinum emerald cut sapphire solitaire ring that originally was her engagement ring from my dad..its so perfect!! I would wear it on my right hand :)))
NEW: Dress, shoes, etc
New: My dress
Old: I had safety pinned my great grandmother's engagement ring and my deceased grandmother's cross inside my dress by my heart.
Borrowed: I had my grandmother's rosary wrapped in my bouquet and hands as I walked the aisle .
Blue: My shoes :)
Just realized you mentioned having trouble finding some shoes you love. I actually bought my shoes for $5 at the Nordstrom outlet and they were light grey and satin. So I bought RIT bye in baby blue (or something like that) and dunked them in! It worked out great. So be on the look out for light color shoes in satin and dye them! The inside comes out a little messed up but no one sees that. Check out my profile for my post. I try to post it her for you!

New: Dress, veil, shoes, etc
Borrowed: Mom's teardrop rhinestone earrings
Blue: My best friend and MOH is making me a blue garter :)
