Something old – my wedding band belongs to my grandma. She is passing it on to me.

Something new – my dress!

Something borrowed – the communion cup from my parent’s wedding.

Something blue – still not sure! Maybe a few blue flowers in my bouquet, or maybe my shoes.

I guess my something new is my shrug, or my shoes, or the jewellery my partner got me for the wedding day.

For my something old, something borrowed, and something blue, I’ll be wearing my grandmother’s diamond and sapphire engagement (old and blue) which I’ll borrow from my mama for the day.

something old

my great grandmother’s solid gold bracelet, that my grandmother wore everyday until she died, and that I  am now wearing

And something blue

earrings that my sister bought me for my high school graduation

Something borrowed

This is my sister in law’s garter, we’ve turned wearing it on our wedding day into our very own new family tradition!

 something new,

and appear saying apparently ends with “and a penny in your shoe” so I stuck an Australian coin on one shoe and a euro on the other (you can sort of see them in this photo)

What about the sixpence in your shoe? Does nobody know the final part of this old English saying?

@Persephone:  FI’s stepmom bought one for me at David’s Bridal.  Although, my shoes are open toe, so we’ll see how that goes.

Something old – I plan on buying a vintage necklace or bracelet. Something like this.

Something new – Almost everything. Dress, shoes, veil (if I get one), headpiece, ect.

Something borrowed – Not quite sure yet.

Something blue – I might get a blue headband. I’m also going to use blue ribbon on the corset of my dress.

Something old- my great grandmothers rosary. Will wrap it around my bouquet.
Something new- Dress, shoes, etc
Something blue- will be this purple necklace I bought for my grandmother. Purple is her favorite color and its a dragonfly (we are getting married in a butterfly house and insectarium.) It has a blue gem in it. I’m going to give it to my grandma after the ceremony.

I glued a euro cent and a dollar cent on the bottom of my  shoes. The thought of having a penny in my shoe all day wasn’t appealing! I put my pictures up as well, so you can see

Something old- I am using one of my maternal grandmother’s broaches on the wrapping of my bouqet. I decided on this pearl and diamond circle to pin on it so only I can see it 🙂

Something new- I purchased a necklace that goes pefectly with my wedding dress via Ebay! 100% started crying when I received it in the mail. I didn’t cry with my wedding dress, but this I cried for? Lol.

Something borrowed- I am borrowing diamond studs from my mom. They belonged to my maternal grandmother whom I never met. I am really happy with that decision.

Something blue- I DIY-ed my own blue shoes! I glittered up a pair of flats with royal blue glitter and modge podge. I am totally in love with them. That was my first real wedding project I completed.
