Hahahahaha I just want to say that I read this as “Something blue…. YOU?” As in the bride would be blue. Like an Avatar wedding with a weird tail-hair handfasting.

Anyway. Mine were as follows.

Old: Jewelry that my grandmother gave me when I was 16.

New: Dress

Borrowed: Hair-colored bobby pins from my Bridesmaid or Best Man

Blue: A sapphire ring my dad gave me when he adopted me!

@FutureMuniz Can’t wait to see pics of your blue dress!

@Miss Fish Your “something blue” is so sweet!

Old: my grandmother’s bracelet I got from her in high school. She doesn’t know I’m wearing it so there is going to be bawling for sure.

New: Dress, veil, etc.

Borrowed: Mom’s earrings

Blue: My sapphire e-ring

Oh this is fun!

Something old: My grandma’s prayer book that she carried with her on her wedding day.

Something new: My dress!

Something borrowed: A bracelet that belonged to my grandma, but now belongs to my mom.

Something blue: A St. Louis Blues garter. I also have 3 little picture frame charms tied to my bouquet that have blue ribbon on them. I’ll have a picture of my 2 grandpas and my grandma…all who have passed away.

Something Old/Borrowed: my great Grandmothers diamond from her engagement ring that my mom and I had made into a neclace along witha diamond from her engagment ring and another diamond. My mom is making me give this pendant back to her after the wedding untill she leaves it to me in her will.

Something New: New Diamond Stud!

Something Borrowed: I may also be wearing my moms emerald bracelet

Something Blue: I have not exactly figured this out yet. I am thinking of asking my seamstress if she can sew my wedding date into my dress in blue thread.

My something new was my orange and brown garter!

Something borrowed: my mom’s engagement ring

Something new: My dress!

My something blue and something old are the same thing: I have a piece of my mom’s dress with my parent’s wedding date (their 30th anniversary is 30 days after our wedding!)and our wedding date stitched in blue thread, and it is being sewn to the left breast of my dress (right over my heart :))

I’m also getting blue underwear made with “Mrs Wilson” on the back

This was the only tradition/superstition I cared about doing for my wedding.

old: both my wedding and engagement ring (the first is a family heirloom, the second is estate) and my necklace (my aunt made it for me using my great aunt’s crystals).

new: dress, veil, shoes, wrap

borrowed: my sister’s diamond stud earrings

blue: in the brooch I had for my wrap. I never even ended up wearing it, but I did carry it around in my clutch.
