My something old is the sixpence I’m putting in my shoe, new dress and shoes, borrowed jewelry from my MOH and I’m making my garter which will have a Union Jack on it for my blue.

Here’s mine

Old: A ruby and diamond ring my grandfather (who passed away in February that I was extremely close to) gave my grandmother years ago, that she then gave to me (her only grandchild)

New: My dress and shoes and some jewelry

Borrowed: Necklace from either my mom or my grandmother, not sure which yet

Blue: Either a hankie that my aunt and her 2 daughters carried on their wedding days (if she can find it) or a blue charm on my bouquet

My colors have nothing to do with blue, so it’s made the “something blue” a little hard to find

Old: I have a broach for my bouquet

New: My dress, shoes

Borrowed: I am borrowing an earring from a family friend. She lost the other one but still have this one starfish earring. I’m going to also add it to my bouquet with the broach.

Blue: Our wedding color is blue so my flowers are blue. I’m also going to dye my crinoline light blue.

Borrowed-well….I still need to return something so that it can count as borrowed

I had the buttons from my mom’s wedding dress sewn onto my bouquet (borrowed, we put them back after), my grandma’s pendant (old), my dress (among other things -new), and a blue garter.  And a friend who came from England brought me a six pence for my shoe.

Something old: Earrings from FH a couple of years ago, or necklace from parents a couple of years ago. (That’s as old as it gets.)

Something new: Everything I’ll be wearing except my earrings, necklace and e-ring.

Something borrowed: NO CLUE!

Something blue: My bouquet and I may wear light blue undies.

But something borrowed… what am I going to do! I read about another bee who rented jewelry– I wonder if that could be considered something borrowed. I could “borrow” a bracelet or something. LOL

Old – My Grandmother’s cross from one of her many rosary’s that was attached to my bouquet.  She had passed 10 years ago, so it was a special way to memorialize her.

New – My gown, shoes, and bling for the day.

Borrowed – My beautiful veil.  Thanks to my friend who couldn’t attend because she was due to have a baby and couldn’t travel.  It was a nice way to have her there with me in spirit.

Blue – This was the most challenging.  I spent hours going from store to store to find a beautiful pair of blue panties that were tasteful, yet sexy.
