Something other than bouquets…

I’m also having a January wedding and I’m not entirely sure what I’m going to have the girls carry.  I was going to do simple bouquets or just babys breath (anything small, they won’t be standing at the ceremony and I’m not using their bouquets as centerpieces so it seemed strange to get them all bouquets for probably 10 seconds as they walk down the aisle to their seats), but now I’m also looking into other options.  I saw photos of a wedding where the bridesmaids walked with the groomsmen and held a clutch in the other hand and I really liked that look.  Still not sure though!

rhiannonzdanowicz:  I love the lantern idea. I have been to a wedding where they carried little clutch purses which was really cute.

I saw this online and loved it too, it’s pretty with the sparkle! I had seen the broch bouqets but not the bead bouquets before.

rhiannonzdanowicz:  Another idea would be to carry grapevine balls with a small string of battery operated fairy lights inside.

rhiannonzdanowicz:  I’ve seen bridesmaids carry fans, broach bouquets, parasols, feathers, paper flowers, candy bouqets, bible with a couple flowers attached with ribbon and laterns. I think the laterns would work best if everything is by candle light. It would be more elegant and have more than 1 purpose! My mom had asked if I wanted my girls to carry lanterns but it just doesn’t go with the feel of my wedding or my vision.

I always thought white feather bouquets were pretty and very wintery looking. Could also be easily done DIY
