    Hey there fellow bees!

Im sure that most of you know that during the (catholic) ceremony the bride and the groom each give a rose to each of the mothers.  I love that idea because it is tradition, however we would like to pick something that is special and is a keepsake.  I am looking for something that we can maybe engrave with a special saying or something.  Something that would be special from the both of us.  I thought of some type of jewelry, but I am open to all ideas!  So please feel free to give them!

    Thanks!

    Adriene

@doublea2a: What about a mason jar with a dried rose? Kind of something like beauty and the beast?

I think a locket with a photo of mother and son or mother and daughter or even better mother with couple would be very meaningful.  Otherwise a charm for a pandora bracelet if they are big into that trend, or a pin/broach of some sort- maybe a symbol that is important to your FI and you... a 4 leaf clover, an angel, a gold rose, an elephant with it's trunk up... etc.  Otherwise, you could always do a very simple necklace with something engraved on it.  good idea... you've got me thinking now too... I kinda like a gold rose pin- because its the tradition of the rose, but it's a twist on it.

You could get embroidered hankerchiefs if you think your mothers are ones who will cry. It's practical and sentimental. I've seen many with just the date and names as well as ones with really nice poems about mothers. Maybe you could find beautiful vintage hankies and take them to have something special embroidered on them.

I love the Pandora bracelet idea for both mothers- also, with each child you have you can give both "grandma" a new charm!

We bought our moms each personalized blanket with special notes embroidered on it.  The blankets were from http://www.etsy.com/shop/CoutureWeddingHankie.  They have hankies too.  Check it out if you wish.
