I'm wearing Maggie Sottero Catarina

And I would LOVE to own this clutch for our ivory/antique pink vintage themed wedding in June:

But I just cant shell out $130 for it. :(
Is there anything you REALLY would LOVE for your wedding but just can't afford?
That clutch is GORGEOUS! Have you thought of DIY or getting someone to make it for you?
Satin flowers are easy to make and the rest is old costume jewellery.
Stations during our cocktail hour. I would love to be able to add a mashed potato bar and a nacho station but its just too expensive.
Gardenias. Thousands and thousands of gardenias. Everywhere.
Stillmotion....I would love them for our cinematographers....but $10k is a little steep.
I LOVE our reception venue, but the only way we could afford it was by having a lunch reception. I would have much preferred to have an evening reception.
Photobooth....would love a photobooth.
Ditto Miss Tattoo...I'd love a creative videographer...but it's too pricey.
The original venue that I wanted, its an old renovated hotel from the thirties. Just plain stunning. I had e mailed them about prices, and I swear it was a typo, they wanted a 30,000 dollar minimum. No it wasn't a typo, that is really their min. I was heartbroken. I still love the one we have, but that place is my dream venue.
A destination wedding to a castle in Wicklow Ireland, with all my family. I'm sure what ever we do will be great... just my pie in the sky dream.
Photobooth. DJ. Dinner reception so we could have lights and mason jar candles. Limo to drive us away.
There is A LOT that we can't afford and I am just having to deal with me.
There is a lot... but the number 1 thing, hands down, is my dream photographer. He's over $5k and I just can't justify spending that!
well i love that i will be getting married in Jamaica, that is for sure. and i know no matter what it will be beautiful. but with more money, i definitely would have picked a different resort. i am making the best with what i have, but yes, if money were not an issue, i would be getting married at a 5* plus.
photobooth! i wish i had the time, money, and creative energy to pull it off, but i'm tapped out. oh well. other than that i think i have everything i want.
Videographer. I really want a cute, professionally edited wedding video, but it's just so expensive :\
Ditto on the photographer. My two favorite photographers were at least $1500 out of our budgeted amount. I would've been willing to splurge and cut back elsewhere, but my FI is pretty practicality-driven, and he balked at their prices.
I wanted to have a small destination wedding at Cavallo Point in Sausalito. My Dad actually suggested that venue before FI and I even got engaged but airfare would have been too expensive for our siblings to fly out there, especially mine since they both have small children. Plus my FMIL checked out their food & beverage minimums online and their prices are really high, which makes sense considering the location.
After that I had my heart set on renting out an inn on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City but it was $12K just to rent out the whole inn for a weekend, and the site fee for the actual ceremony was $5K. No thanks!!!
I also would love an awesome videographer.
There's one in particular that I really love and found over a year before I was engaged. I watched his prices crawl up (and double) over time. Now there's no way it could happen. Oh well.
I adore this man's work and would love to have it for my wedding but my fiance told me I had to pick between an outrageously priced videograhpher or photographer. He said he could justify spending a lot on one of those two things since those are memories and the only thing you have left afterwards, but that I couldn't have both.
I went with the photographer because I figure i will get more use out of photos: giving them to family decorating our house with them. annnd she's incredible (an worth every last penny) as you can see:

The bride and groom like to watch their wedding video but most other people don't ... so alas I will not have incredible cinematography.
i would love to have a photobooth but dont think its in our budget. Maybe if we can get the rest of our debt paid off before the wedding, we can have one. Fingers crossed!
The officiant I want. She wanted to do our wedding but just didn't have the money to cover her own travel costs. If I could, I would pay for her lodging and all her meals and gas. But it just doesn't make sense to spend that much more (it'd be about $200 more, which would make her about $250 more than the officiant we picked closer to the location).
@unixfairy: I found it on Etsy. I dont have the link anymore though </3
@ChantelleyLace: I think you could easily DIY that! Pick up some florals and rhinestones from a craft store, arrange and hot glue them on this pink bag:

Photobooth for me as well. :) Oh well it was perfect without it! :)
@ChantelleyLace: I did a search on Etsy and found the link :)

It looks like she sells similar clutches in various colors too!
I would love to have an outrageously gorgeous venue, but the venues are limited near my small town. Thus, I have to have the traditional reception hall venue. But, I'd love to have the reception at an old hotel, museum, greenhouse, or something of the like.
Chilvari chairs, lighting, big flower centerpieces, videography, Ines Di Santo dress, a whole heaping pile of stuff.
I really wanted to have the reception at the Ca d'Zan mansion in Sarasota Florida but it would have meant renting everything and there was no way I was doing that without a planner. Just completely out of our price range.
Photobooth & chivari chairs. Really wish we'd done the former -we could have moved $ around a bit and done it.
And gosh that clutch IS beautiful, but I am convinced you could probably whip up something similar. (I couldn't believe how much DIY I was capable of -we did all of our florals!)
definitely a photobooth. I've thought about a DIY photobooth, but I'm not sure if that will work :S My last chance is to try and win one at a wedding fair lol.
honeymoon, manolos, uplighting, giant tree centerpieces, lol i'm sure I could go on
trolleycar to tote around my guests from their hotel to the ceremony site to the reception (and then to our house for an afterparty).
A hot glue gun and a dept store jewelery sale = you could totally make that purse!!
A honeymoon in Europe...we have neither the time nor the money...Perhaps when FI has finished his PhD (seems so far away).
