I was driving back to work from lunch today and my all time favorite song came on the radio, Let's Dance by David Bowie...only, I think I would literally expire from shame if anyone actually knew that...it got me thinking, what other stuff do people love secretly?
I think I wear everything I enjoy with pride. I watch Disney channel I have no kids, I love the new Justin Beiber song (didn't know it was the teeny bopper until I was singing it in Target I was quickly informed and then continued singing). I like to dance to the electric slide, cotton eyed joe and I will have them at my wedding because it's something I enjoy. I am sure there is much more that I should be embarrassed about but I am not because the only person not having a good time is the person judging everyone else.
I secretly still listen to old school R&B when I am in the car. When I am home alone I like reading peoples birth stories and watching videos of births because I am fascinated and scared of child birth. I'd never want my SO to know because I think he'd think I'm weird and baby obsessed. I just think it's so crazy.

I must say, though, that I stopped watching it after the whole 72-day marriage debacle.

I have a twitter account for the sole purpose of following reality stars from trashy reality shows (ie: Bad Girls Club.)
When no one is home I watch the same movies over and over again. Weird ones too, Labyrinth, THe Dark Crystal, Beetle Juice, just childhood movies non stop! And I also watch How It's Made on Netflix in continuous loop. Sad life. Oh and I also secretly love Enrique Inglesias, but won't admit it

@Nona99: WHAT!!! I LOVE Bowie. He's a genius and I've loved him literally since I was a child (Labyrinth!). I own sooo many of his albums and still rock out to them on the regular!
And I, too, still watch the Disney channel, own every Disney movie, and occasionally tear up when the Princess gets her happily ever after.
I hide this from no one, though, lol.
I absolutely love GLEE! and all the music and soundtracks! I made a CD for them and listen to it over and over and it never gets old.
When I love songs, I could just press repeat and listen to them.. haha.
I love cleaning with my fav songs on and dancing around the house. Especially in something cute, like short shorts and knee high socks!!

IDK, I fly my freak flag pretty high. I buy shirts from TeeFury.com...talk loudly about watching Star Trek...quote The Venture Brothers in every day situations... I'm vocal about stuff I love. I don't hide it. I think I'm a nerd/geek in the truest sense of the word.
Ummm. I watch Glee when I'm alone sometimes, but only 30% of me enjoys it? I like the music but I think a lot of the characters are awful human beings. I'm not sure if this counts, lol.
Most people side-eye me pretty hard when they find out how much I know about serial killers and profiling? But that's not something that I LOVE. It's just something that I studied in school and don't mention a lot because, well, yeah, not everybody wants to know about Jeffrey Dahmer's childhood.

I love The Vampire Diaries. I kind of hide that, because I feel like it gets grouped in with Twilight a lot.
Hannah Montanna. I have seen every episode MULTIPLE times. It's not that I'm a Miley Cyrus fan, or anything. I just love really bad TV.
@Nona99: i love teen movies ; ( like high school shows young love romance (teen wolf,shes all that, mean girls) i love them all and i read teen romance novels vanpier acadamy,house of night and i love love love twilight. people know the part they dont it i guess i feel like i messed up in high school, i wish i would have finished and went to prom. but i was ugly and not popular at all or all for the wrong reasons lol i just wish i would have done it all diffrently. thats the part no one knows the reasons.
sadly... it's Weddingbee, especially now that the wedding's over. I don't really tell anyone IRL about it, and if I did the reactions would be:
1. So you just talk to STRANGERS on the INTERNET? THEY COULD BE SERIAL KILLERS!

Babies. I'm very uncomfortable around them and always feel awkward when I'm holding one, so I tend to hold back a lot.... but I really, really love them. I don't talk about it in real life because most of my friends don't have or want children. My fiance knows I want children of course, but not even he knows how much I like babies.
Weddingbee could also be one of mine. I dont' talk about it to people I know nearly as much as I want to.
I read the trashiest romance novels I can find on my nook so no one can see it on the subway. My FI knows, and makes fun of my constantly.

I actually have a really odd fascination with weird deaths. Like I spend hours reading about people who died as sacrfices in Ancient times (I can tell you everything about Lightning Girl from the summit of Llullaillaco), bog bodies, people who die while climbing Mount Everest, or about serial killers, weird deaths. I'm so interested in things like that. It freaks out my SO who's the only other person who knows about it, so I tend to keep it a secret haha.
I've also got a secret obsession with cheesy pop music. It's so not who I am, but man I love me some Kesha and One Direction and Taylor Swift, and Carley Rae Jepsen and the like.
Vampire Diaries and Supernatural, I really like the fantasy genre as a whole. I don't talk about it, like EVER, unless I'm talking about books cause I read a whole lot and people are always asking what kind of books I like.
Also, I hide Weddingbee from everyone! Just because my mom already thinks I'm wedding crazy since I'm not even engaged yet and my SO would probably think it was cute/weird lol.
I love the old school disney shows from like 99-2005. Lizzie Macguire, Even Stevens..etc
I also love shows like Hannah Montana, Sonny with a chance, and victorious. I'm 20.. heh.
I also love any singer that comes from Disney, can anyone say Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and the like. Oh goodness If my FI knew... haha

@cirk: I do a lot of this too! It's part of human history, which fascinates me. I read up on a lot creepy things. I wrote a 7 page paper on Albert Fish... now THERE was a creepy fellow!

@lotto: I've been reading the most horrible, trashiest, smuttiest romance novels I could find since I was about 15. It's actually how I learned a lot about sex hahaha.
I use to want a baby really bad (it was like a spell from 26-28) - then after that I all of a sudden did not. I am not sure why. I am very curious about having a baby one day, but I am secretly terrified of what will happen to my body.
My favorite song from the 80's is Kyrie by Mr. Mister, and I listen to it quite a lot on my iPod. If my fiance, or anyone who knows me were to find out, I'd die of shame.

I love all things serial killer, watch and read everything I can get my hands on. DH is slightly afraid of me because of this.
I love the Biebs (we played 2 or 3 Bieber songs at our wedding and I danced my ass off to every one), "Call Me Maybe", 80's music, 90's music, jazz, piano music...
I could live off of desserts. For every meal. Or cranberry sauce out of the can.
I'm obsessed the Science Museum. We go to every new exhibit.

I am pretty effing kinky which I don't advertise but people tend to figure it out on their own pretty quickly.

Gossip Girl, Make it or Break It, Pretty Little Liars, and basically any other TV show that other 14-year olds enjoy.
I wouldn't say 'love' but I'm pretty sure it would not be cool to admit that I find some of my daughter's male friends quite attractive....in a non-sexual way, of course o_O
