Today I say goodbye to my place of employment. I have been here for almost 3 years. I only work half a day, because that’s how they do their outprocessing. I am thrilled to be going to a new position where I will be a name, not a number. How do I say goodbye without completely losing my mind (I am UBER emotional)? One of my friends walked up to me and have me a hug, I burst into tears, for what I am sure is not going to be the first time today. I will miss my fellow co-workers, I will not miss my job.

You can always keep in touch!
Send out an email to some people with your contact info, a short “goodbye” and make sure to ask certain poeple for their contact info.
Keeping in touch is great socially (hello cocktail hour) and professionally (hi there, references)

@CakeyP: I sent out my facebook info to those who don’t have it, and a goodbye email to the rest, but, still, I know walking off this floor will be the hardest thing ever.. I can’t even type straight I keep feeling like I’m gonna cry :'(

I’d spend the day thinking about how AMAZING your new job is going to be!

@BrandNewBride: I’m trying, but being surrounded by my co-workers is making the goodbye part hard. They gave me a birthday card yesterday, it made me cry, because they ALL wrote how much they would miss me.. (I work in a HUGE company, when I refer to my co-workers, I refer to the 20ish that are on my ‘team’)
