@jmcclen1: I have the exact same issue. I want to dance with my dad to My Little Girl (I think the ending is kindof sweet, to a dad, no guy is good enough) But I need a song for my step dad. I highly recommend Dance with Cinderella. (I cant use that because that was the father daughter dance with my sister and step dad) It made everyone so teary eyed. I think you have some great choices there!
My problem with my step dad is songs about being little, the day I was born, etc because he didn't experience any of that. But he deserves a really great song...I'm still stuck.
I'll Stand By You - Chrissie Hynde & The Pretenders . It doesn't mention the father/daughter relationship at all. Carrie Underwood also did a version of it.

My biological father is not in the picture and my StepFather has been around since I was about 2 years old. So we danced to "Daddy's Little Girl" by Michael Buble! Best of Luck in your choices! It truly is hard, but definitely worth it once you can find something that means something special to you both!
Maybe you could do a FUN type dance with your StepDad, to break the repition of songs!

My real father & I are dancing to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw (were cutting out the last part where it talks about the guy not being good enough). My FI is dancing with his mom to Twenty Years Late by Aaron Lines, and I have been thinking about dancing with my step dad to Dance With Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman.
My issue is, my real dad has not really been a good dad all my life, and now things are slowly getting better & I still want him involved and everything but for the past 7 years my step dad has been there for me through everything. He got me a car for my 16th bday, paid for college and everything else along the way. I want to dance with him to a really special song but not one that says dad or daddy alot. I don't want to offend my real dad or hurt his feelings. He wouldn't ever say anything to my step dad, my dad is grateful for what he has done for me (they are friends) but I still think it would hurt his feelings. They are both walking me down the aisle and I want both of their songs to be really sweet & meaningful without hurting anyones feelings.
Any song suggestions that show gratitude without talking to much about father/daughter stuff?? Thanks you guys!
