I am planning to have a song sang to my mother after the seating of the grandparents and parents but before the bridesmaids enter. What are your thoughts on this? I was planning to have Mama’s song by Carrie Underwood sang.
My wedding is outdoors at 2pm and I dont have any other songs set in stone yet for during the ceremony. What would you suggest?? Any help would be great!

Hey there! The only song we had during our actual ceremony (meaning, between processional and recessional) was during our unity candle lighting. You can have songs whenever you’d like though! And how special to have your mom sing something. 🙂

You can totally do music whenever you want, so never think of a wedding as something where songs must happen in a certain order. I’ve never been to a wedding where the mother got a song sung to her, so I think that’s a beautiful innovation. Is it going to be a surprise?
Do you have ideas for songs for during the ceremony? What kind of musical taste do you and your partner have? I can certainly help you out there!!

AllHallieTheBride: The song to my mother will be a surprise. We are really open to any type of music during the ceremony. I have read many threads about music and researched some of those recommendations. I have found a few that I like but not one yet that says, “this is the one”. I am wanting to have one played during the ceremony.
