I think the song is absolutely beautiful.  Why doesnt your FH like it?

We used the violin rendition of the song To Love You More of Celine Dion, performed by Lucia Micarelli.

We also considered using The Wandering Kind by Josh Groban.

Otherwise songs by Vitamin String Quartet are always winners.

Good luck ๐Ÿ˜‰

I used Aphex Twin – Avril 14th. It’s piano.

We walked in to Canon in D, which is very traditional but still not the wedding march. Maybe that would be a good compromise?

If you want something more contemporary, I was at a wedding this weekend where the bride entered to Bless the Broken Road (she had a vocalist, but you could use an instrumental version).  There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

@IzzyBear:  Have you heard this?  It’s what I’m using for my bridal march.  I absolutely love it.  It’s a violin cover of Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up”.  So beautiful.

He also has a violin rendition of A Thousand Years that I’m using for my bridal party processional.

Awe… I love that song! Even the instrumental is sappy ;).

My bridesmaids and I walked down the aisle to “River Flows in You” by Yiruma. It is my absolute favorite instrumental. I can’t pinpoint why but it’s very moving to me.

I’m hoping to use Autumn, from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. It’s a nice mix of jolly and grand!

I haven’t decided which song yet, but I’m going to be using a song from the Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding’s cd. It has instrumental versions of classic songs like ‘So This Is Love’ and ‘Bella Notte.’ But, then again, we’re purchasing the entire cd and playing the songs during the meal as well.
