My friend got married this past weekend and the song that she walked down the isle to was “Sunrise Sunset” (instrumental) from Fiddler on the Roof. I thought it was BEAUTIFUL and it really made a statement. It really got me thinking about the song that I would like to walk down the isle to. No offense against the traditional Bridal March, but it just isn’t me. I want something that’ll grab everyone’s attention, but won’t sound too over the top at the same time. but make the statement nevertheless.
Any suggestions bees?

My cousin did Marry Me by Train. So sweet.
I’m thinking of doing I Cross My Heart by George Straight. Love love love that song.

@MissLadyInWaiting_xx: I’m walking to a song by ‘The Used’ – it’s our song, but it’s also completely wedding inappropriate – then I discovered Vitamin String Quartet, they did a cover of it that I adore.

our band played 1000 years (just instrumental though). i know it seems pretty common on the bee, but several people mentioned to us how much they loved it! i also considered somewhere over the rainbow

The groom, family, and wedding party all walked down to Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin (instrumental version) and I walked to Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve (also instrumental). Then as we walked down together as husband and wife Another One Bites the Dust by Queen played (not instrumental).
Even over a year later if I hear Bittersweet Symphony I get nervous butterflies and slightly light headed lol!

Our bridesmaids walked to a piano instrumental version of “Friday I’m in Love,” and I walked to a piano instrumental version of “Just Like Heaven.” I guess we really like the Cure! I can dig up the names of the versions we used if you’re interested; we downloaded them off itunes or amazon.

It’s pretty much as cliche as the Wedding March (which is just not for me), but I’m considering walking to Pachelbel’s Canon in D. I just think it’s beautiful when done by a string quartet (although I’ll just be finding a digital version, not an actual string quartet).

I want to use Today by John Denver. It was “my” lullaby when I was a baby. My mom sang it to me all the time! I actually thought she made it up until I was about 15…

I walked down to The Piano Guys’ version of Taylor Swift’s Love Story.
We started the song at 2:31 into it and went to about 3:15. As soon as I heard this I knew it was the song I’d use. No one recognized it as a Taylor Swift song either 😛
