We’re not doing the bouquet/garter toss so I can’t comment on that, but here is what we’re using (plus some that didn’t make the cut):

Entrance: Don’t Stop Me Now – Queen, Let’s Get It Started or I Got a Feeling (both by BEP)

Cake cutting: When I’m 64 – The Beatles, Sugar Sugar – The Archies, Pour Some Sugar on Me – Def Leppard

  • BP Entrance: Thunderstruck – ACDC (was rocking out in the car one day and FI and I had some revelation that this would be perfect for some reason lol)
  • Cake Cutting: Love – Nancy Adams (It’s the little love song from Disney’s Robin Hood if you’ve ever seen that)
  • Bouquet Toss: You Can’t Hurry Love – The Supremes
  • Garter Toss: You Shook Me All Night Long – ACDC

My FI really wanted to use Addicted by Saving Abel for taking the garter off of me, but I feel super uncomfortable with that so he’s changing that one. It’s just not a song that I want playing in front of my mom’s conservative family…

Parents entrance: Beatles, “All you need is love”

Bridal party entrance: Chris Brown, “Forever”

Bride and groom entrance: Led Zeppelin, “Misty Mountain Hop” (leading into our first dance song, Zeppelin’s “Thank You”)

Cake cutting: The Archies, “Sugar Sugar”

Bouquet toss: Beyonce, “Single Ladies”

We didn’t do a garter toss, but we did a “Longest-lasting couple” dance to the Beatles’ “When I’m 64”.  My grandparents won–62 years of wedding bliss and counting–and it was so cute!

Bridal Party Entrance:  Just Can’t Get Enough – BEP

Cake Cutting:  Good Life- OneRepublic

First Dance:  Love You Madly- Cake

To get the dancing started, right when the reception venue opens to the guests the our parents are dancing to “On the Floor” by JLo and Pitbull.  All the parents are GREAT dancers and we’re hoping this will loosen people up to start dancing after dinner… plus get the night off to a fun start!  They’re going to start by dancing with each their spouse, then Mother of the Bride and Father of the Groom will dance while Mother of the Groom and Father of the Bride dance, then they’ll go back to spouses, etc.  I’ve seen this at a couple weddings and it ALWAYS gets the night going:)

Good luck!
