OMG I am so nervous right now about an upcoming show on Sunday!! They expect 1000 guests! I feel nervous and giddy and sick to my stomach at the same time... Wish me luck please!

thx! i haven't done a show of this caliber before, all of the other shows were smaller, but this show is for clients with larger budgets (think over 25k) and i really would love to book a client or two from the show... sigh...

yeah i definitely will need a cocktail to calm my nerves!! they are doing a runway show and the models will be wearing vera, amsale, monique (yes i am on a first name basis) lmbo!  seriously i may be being modest in terms of budgets i actually think that they are closer to 40 and up, omg do you know what i could make 40k look like?!  sigh... i need a glass of wine just thinking about it right now! lol!!! i am going to start working on a tissue paper vase product i have in mind.

Lol yeah mm-kay... Here's a preview pic (i didn't want to decoupage the vase because i'm going to use it for other projects, it will be filled with red gerberas along with this fenton-esque vase that will either have red roses or red gerberas.... and i am using an aqua pintuck linen with an organza red runner...

if i wasn't going to reuse the square vase for other projects i definitely would have done a true decoupage instead of a quickie fix and i would have used mod podge to seal it, but hey, i'm resuing that bad boy :D

@RB: it's okay... i am underwhelmed right now. i think i need to go to sleep lol!!! sometimes when i sleep and wake up things look a lot better but i am never 100 percent satisfied with my designs, i ALWAYS see something that could have been done better, but i like the tissue vase, it was left over tissue paper from a bday party, a stamp i already had, some ink, and a vase i got a few months ago at a garage sale for 2 bucks!! oh and i used glue dots to cover the vase instead of a true decoupage.

i will be using a third vase of some sort as well (i have no idea what right now) but probably aqua liquid and a floating candle...

Here's a preview!!! Tissue paper and water don't agree so while the above picture was cute, it will definitely have to be decoupaged and there is no corner cutting.

As promised here are pix from the show... It was great fun and I made a lot of contacts and hopefully soon bookings!! (I am in no way trying to sell you any products or anything like that and am just posting because I am excited and I wanted my besties to see!!) After all we are the Pizza and Chocolate Krewe (living in Louisiana too long lmbo!)

@txmeredith: thanks so much!! the show went really well, i didn't make any bookings :( i have thoughts on why i didn't, and it has nothing to do with my product or level of expertise but let's hope i am being paranoid... i had at least 4 or 5 brides that i think were serious about booking and a few brides that i'd met at other shows were really impressed with my tablescape, etc (it was really awesome because one of my brides hadn't seen me at a show and she said she was blown away!)

@hisbarista: thanks so much! I was really pleased with the way everything came out! i got the greatest compliment: oh those flowers are real, they look too beautiful to be real!! and everyone felt and smelled them!!! i was really excited and happy about that.

ignore the columns on the cake (the baker gave me that it wasn't my design)... i still liked the height that it provided for my cake topper though....
