I think you definitely made the right choice - tea length is SO hard to wear and I'm not really a fan of it on anyone. Your new dress is great!!!
I absolutely adore the new dress, it looks sophisticated & elegant, with a hint of sparkly and sexy. So much better ^_^
The tea length did nothing for you. The sparkly dress is absolutely gorgeous on you. You made the right choice.
FI runs the Tough Mudders twice a year (Allentown and Englishtown). He's done it for 2 years and loves it. Good luck!
I just wanted to check out my dress pics again :) WOWZA! I love love love this gown soooo much! I can't wait to walk down the aisle in it!

I would like to formally retract my recent post about keeping my AA 2115 dress after altering it to tea-length.

(sorry for the blurry camera phone pic) I kept agonizing about the dress looking like a flower girl dress (ummm, maybe cuz its covered with flowers), looking like i was tarred and flowered, shaped like a mushroom, looking extra fatty, feeling like a clown in it, worrying that my poor body image would be exacerbated by that dress and ruin my wedding day like it has ruined so many other days, both big and small, in my life. Determined to overcome my fears, i headed back to my favorite bridal boutique to try on the "it" dress, a copy of Monique Lhuillier's "Ingrid". I put it on, and it was B-O-R-I-N-G! Here it is on the hanger: just the bodice:
And THEN:
My wonderful boutique lady suggested another gown, supposedly a copy of a Jim Hjelm. It's all lacy like the ML copy, but has a little bling on it. It's the same fit-n-flare shape with no crinoline or anything underneath, just like the ML. It has some bling and a giant flower, and is strapless... It's like my two first picks had a baby dress!
And a close-up of the bodice:
Sooo... it is obviously a little tight, but I have started running (not to lose weight, just training for a big obstacle race - the Tough Mudder!!! Grrrr!) And I will likely lose a few inches just from that, but don't worry! it can totally be let out :) So, i bought the dress! and I love it! and my stress level about the dress and about my wedding day in general has gone WAAAAAYYY down! And my mom loves it too!
Now... I need to find a place to donate my tea-length dress! (once we hem it and replace the crinoline of course!)
