That's a fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing! And I'm totally jealous of your amazing venue! You'll have to show us your own DIY results when you do it. :)
I might steal the recipe book idea, myself!
That's adorable! I love the recipe book idea for favours. Make sure you leave space for them to add recipes that they gather for the next couple months as well!
i love this idea, and think it goes beautifully with your venue!! i agree, post your progress of this DIY project, i'm sure it will look awesome!
I LOVE cookbooks so I would be in heaven at your wedding :) Very cute idea, I think your guests will love it!
This is SUCH a great idea! I love how they look all hanging up on the clothesline and I love getting little packets of stuff to go through! And that stamp with all the animals is absolutely fabulous.
So cute! Will you be using the exact same decoration style? Or what colors/style will yours use?
Love this idea! It'll be really cute!
This is fantastic. I love that you could add personal recipes, and maybe even add fun little stories to go along with them!?!
Aww thanks ladies! We would tweak the design so it matches our invitation suite and the rest of the DIY paper stuff we are doing; menus, smores tags, wine labels, etc. Our colors are brown and red...with a little bit of brushed gold here and there.
My fiance is an amazing cook and is "famous" among our friends and family for whipping up some fantastic meals...so I think this will be perfect!!
@littlemissmoo...great idea about leaving room for adding recipes! Thanks!
Thought I would post some pics of our venue too!!!
Thanks again ladies...I'm so happy to hear all the compliments!!
@SarahD: Love it!!! I'm a total Martha addict too. I am going to a very similar tablescape at the reception based on her destination weddings mag idea. I think your guests would love it!
I think some of Martha's ideas can also be tweaked to be exactly you and only you. She's an awesome idea generator. Go Martha Go!
I love her stuff too...and totally agree about tweaking it to make it your own. That way I don't feel like I totally stole the idea from someone else! lol! ;)
WOO HOO...just got the thumbs up from one of my very closest girlfriends who is getting married in June! She and I have "wedding meetings" once a week to bounce ideas off eachother so it was nice to get her "approval"! ;)
Very cute!
Thats such a great idea! Youre venue looks awesome too!
That's such a fun idea! I love new recipes. This is one of the best favors I've ever heard of! :)
I just discovered the world of Martha the other day and can't believe i've been missing out on all the great ideas she has! This a great favor and love the personal touch with family recipes as well!!
I adore this idea! And can I just say, your venue looks super cool. Congratulations!

So I have to start this by saying I TOTALLY stole this idea from Martha Stewart Weddings...but it's such a fantastic idea I just couldn't help myself!
My fiance I are getting married this October at a beautiful B&B that has an amazing big, red barn on property...so we're having a rustic, farm, country style wedding.
I saw this idea for wedding programs the other day and fell in LOVE! Each bag holds not only the wedding program but also a recipe book filled with recipes from the caterer. We're going to take that idea a step further and include some recipes from family and friends as well. So...the recipe book will be the favor!
Attached to the bag we'll have the escort card. Since the reception will take place in a tent right next to where we're getting married...all people have to do is walk down the hill after the ceremony and find their table.
I'm sooo excited to start working on this project! What would you think of this as a wedding guest? I want to make favors that people will actually want to take home! lol! ;)
