I haven't tried it yet but I am totally planning on it. I would love to know how they turn out!
I'll be sure to put pictures up... I probably won't attempt them until I have an entire evening to concentrate on them. I'll let you know!
I want to make these to so you will have to let us know how they turn out! I will have to make 5 sets so I'm worried about messing them up!
I really want to make some lego cufflinks for my FI. Where did you buy the cufflink backs?
I found the cufflink backs or "findings" on a site called Jan's Jewels. Her website is: http://www.jansjewels.com/. There are a few different options for the backs. I then bought the setting for the actual cufflink and am planning to glue it to the back. I am making 6 pairs and all the supplies were only about $15. I'll buy the resin at like AC Moore or something and thats alittle pricey.
I can also scan the instructions from the DIY Bride book if you don't have it... just pm me if you need them!
I'll def post pictures when I start them. I'll probably attempt them on Saturday.
Ok... I finally attempted the cufflinks and they are currently drying in my kitchen. The resin takes about 24 hours to "cure" and unfortunetly, the smell is overwhelming. I have three windows open and a fan on and its still pretty bad. I will take a pic tomorrow once they are dry and I glue the bezel onto the cufflink backing. But so far, they look amazing! Yay!
Ok ladies! I finished them and they turned out awesome! Just put up a new post with pictures!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I don't know if anyone else owns the DIY Bride book but she has a great diy project to make cufflinks! When I first saw it I didn't even think about doing it, but after scanning through the book (over + over), I realized how much I wanted to make my fiance's groomsmen some "sports-themed" cufflinks!
I ordered the bezel cup + cufflink backing from a site the DIY recommended, and today I printed out the little pictures I'm going to use. I am so excited to try these out :) Wish me luck because they are so tiny and look hard to do, but I'm hoping they turn out awesome. I'll post pics when they are done.
Has anyone else tried these?
