I need to vent.  I have PCOS and was put on the pill when I was 16 to regulate my period.  6 years later (a year and a half ago) my doctor took me off the pill because the hormones had been giving me migraines.  Since I came off the pill I have gained about 60 pounds.  I do not overeat nor do I eat a lot of junk food.  I have tried exercising but I have not lost a pound.  I used to take pictures with my FH all the time and now we have very few of us together.  We went to my cousins wedding a couple weekends ago and my cousin (who is my MOH) put her photos up on facebook and as I looked at the ones that I was in, I could not believe what I was seeing. I hate how I look now and I am afraid I will not be able to lose any weight before my wedding. I have talked to my doctor about the weight gain and he said he has to run some tests and take a look at my hormones before he can do anything because chances are any type of birth control will bring back the migraines.  I am so frustrated. I just want to be back to my normal weight. :(

I am so sorry you are going through this.  Have you spoken with your doctor or tried to make an appointment with a nutritionist?  I know you say you eat well and I am not doubting that-but perhaps they could help you out some more.  I wish you the best-and remember that you are beautiful inside and out, sometimes it just takes us a while to see that.

I'm glad to hear that you're physician is running some tests - gaining 60 lbs in 1 1/2 years is pretty significant!  Hopefully s/he will find out what's going on!

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time with the PCOS!  :(  I'd definitely recommend that you check out some of the PCOS forums, such as the message boards at www.soulcysters.com and www.pcosupport.org, for some targeted advice.  Good luck!

@Saeliz- I have talked to my doctor, he wants to run tests and check out my hormones. I will have to talk to him about seeing a nutritionist.  Thanks for the kind words!

@EvaBostonTerrier- I know right! I have had to buy so many new clothes...it sucks!

@jhphi- I will have to check out those sites, thank you!
