O no thats awful! I really hope they can get the dress back in quick enough for your alterations. If its helps i ordered mine in jan, got it in may, had to reorder and it came in aug 1. Maybe they can rush order it since they messed up?

I’ve never been in a DB, but when I ordered my dress, they measured me, showed me the size chart for the designer, showed me the size they suggested to go with my measurements and I had to sign confirming that I had agreed to the size ordered.  Does DB not do this?

@MrsEME:  That is SO obnoxious! My “consultant” at DB was 16. Like, actually told me she was 16, and she remembered when my younger sister was a Senior and she was a Freshman!

She spent the whole appointment saying “We don’t have what you’re looking for here”

Really? DB doesn’t sell a tulle ballgown?

Ah I’m so sorry! Hopefully the manager made sure that the new order is rushed and you can get your gown in time!

@MrsEME:  That’s crazy.  I would never order a dress in a smaller size than I was when i was ordering it (what is I don’t lose the weight I think I will?) and neither my consultant nor my MOH’s consultant suggested such thing.

I am starting to understand why they have such a crappy reputation.  Hope you’re dress arrives soon!

I bet you’ll get in in plenty of time! My sister had a 5 month engagement or so, and I’m not sure when her dress came in but when DB altered it they cut it too short, so they had to order a new one and it got in in time. So she got two dresses in 5 months! And of course the second one was rushed but they got it in time.
