I've seen brides wearing it when I used google images.  I was looking for real brides in the Dolce, but never found one!

I am actually wearing that dress! It's already come in but it was way earlier than expected so I need to get my shoes and under garments so I have not gone in to try it on again and for alterations. So, unfortunately I do not have a picture of me in the dress but I will be taking some when we go for the fitting.

Mrs. Peony actually wore that dress as well!

Yes I saw her pictures! I came across a couple others. If you wouldn't mind sharing pictures once you take them that would be so great. What color did you get? I ordered mine around Halloween, they said it might take up to six months. Please keep me posted.

My dress arrived in about a 3-4 weeks and they told me 5 months! I was relieved and annoyed that it came in so early as I thought I had plenty of time to get my accessories! My biggest thing is I don't know what kind of bra to wear with it.

I ordered mine in ivory. I was originally going to get diamond white as my fiance wanted my dress to be white, but Skye does not come in diamond white and white is too white. I am a little nervous as the one I tried on in the store was in the gold and it was a beautiful color and looked good on me. I hope the ivory looks just as good. I will certainly post pics when I get them. ;)

Oh my goodness... I wonder how/why your dress came so fast? That is good in a way, especially since your wedding is 6 months before mine! I cannot wait to see the pictures. BTW, to a guy... I am sure the ivory will look white to him!

I ordered mine in the gold. I don't know why but I am a little nervous about the dress. It is always hard when you try it on in a size that isn't even close to your size. The dress is beautiful but I never got "the feeling". I tried on 120+ dresses and liked a lot of them. I sort of decided it was time to pick one so I am still keeping my eyes open. I am hoping once I try it on in my size and color that I love it. I hope mine comes in early too.

I haven't thought about accessories at all. All I know is I want a veil for the ceremony. The one thing about the top of the dress is that it is not very structured so I will have someone but something in there to make it a little more stable. Let me know what you decide on for accessories and stuff. I would be fun to see!

    Good luck!

Alanna, I was going through some old emails and found my picutres that one of bridesmaids took when we went shopping.  I am attaching it. Was the dress you tried on in the spu gold? I think that is a really pretty color actually and we did debate getting it instead of the ivory.

i went through the same thing...thied on tons of dresses. Skye and MS MonaLisa were the ones I had trouble deciding between...they were both kind of the "wow" dresses for me, but I never got "the feeling" either. Nor did my mom cry when she saw me. LOL With the time frame I felt pressured to make a choice so I went with Skye. I am ready for the wedding to come so i can stop second guessing my choice! :) I keep telling myself  when I try the dress on in my own size it will be different and all doubt will vanish. I hope so!

Haha I think we are in the exact same boat. I just hope once we get it on in our size and color it at least feels right so we can get excited about it. I looked up the Monalisa. It is super pretty and dramatic but I think I like Skye better. I wouldn't even try on dresses that went straight down. I needed rouching. Thanks for sending the picture!

Yup, I tried it on in spun gold. It is so subtle and I knew I wanted something a little different. I have some pictures of me in skye but it's just so hard to tell. I hope I get mine soon so I know if I am done looking or if I need to get back to the stores. The other dress I had it narrowed down to was the Anjolique 1014. I will attach the pics of skye that I had. Don't pay attention to my weird smile in the picture haha. I tried to attach a smudged one but now they are all on there. I guess you can't delete attachments?? So just look at #2 and #3.

I think the dress looks gorgeous on you. I looked up the Anjolique and that one is pretty too, but you know, I think the simplicity of Skye with little beading and the pick ups along with the back (I love the back) is what makes it so pretty. I am going on the 18th for my dress fitting. I cannot wait to see the dress on me again. I remember I was second guessing myself before I bought the dress and looked back at the pics... Skye is one dress pictures don't do it justice. The last time I tried it, I thought I must have been crazy to think it was "too" plain. I think after going to dress shop after dress shop and trying dress after dress, my taste started to get askewed. LOL The very first dress I liked at DB was very simple, with just a little ruching at the waist and a little bit of bling along the ruching and side. Afterwards, after shopping everywhere else I tried on a lot of dresses with a LOT of detail and I think I just got swept up. When I saw Skye I thought that was just the right amount of everything. So, I think when you get it in your size you'll feel teh same way. :)

I hope you are right! You should send some pictures from your fitting. I am so excited for you to try it on again!! I stopped in the dress shop over the weekend to say hi and see if they had any other dresses I needed to try on (I have issues I know) and also checked the status on mine. They said it should get there by the end of March. I am hoping it comes earlier since yours did!

Haha! You don't have issues...I still looked at all the Spring 2010 dresses...just in case!

Have you picked out your shoes? I got mine this morning! The picture came out so teeny tiny so scroll down for the link. LOL

    http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/bought-my-shoes-this-morning

I really am not keen on wearing a longline bra and since the dress doesn't really have a low back I don't see the need. So I bought some spankx high rise panties (which I'm thinking I might not even need really because of the ruching) and am going to wear a regular strapless bra with it. I will also be wearing a peticoat under it. One of the ladies at another bridal shop told me for ballroom gowns like that it is best to wear a peticoat, not only for volume but to allow room between your legs so you don't trip. Definitely don't want to trip!

I haven't looked at shoes yet. I am thinking I might do pink one if my girls do green ones since those are the colors. But we will see. Yours are super pretty! They will look great! I haven't even thought of what I will wear under. I definitely think a normal strapless bra will work. I might just have them put the cups in to give it some structure and skip the bra? I am not sure yet? What is a peticoat? I think I get what it is based on what you said it does. i haven't heard of that before. Man... I am clueless when it comes to this stuff :) 5 more days until you get to try the dress on. I can't wait to see pictures! Keep me posted!

Peticoat may be a southern term...LOL I think its also called a crinoline? It goes under and give the dress volume, gives it that puffed out look kind of. Aparrently there are two kinds a "skinny" and "fat" one, not related to your body type. I got the "skinny" I didn't want a lot of poof, just enough so I really won't trip. I am worried about that. LOL I had a friend that tripped on her way up to the alter and her husband basically caught her. Thank goodness! The colored shoes I think would be awesome. I thought about doing silver shoes, but I let the bridesmaids do silver instead so they could reuse them.

I hope you get your dress early!

Oh yeah I have heard of those things. I obviously haven't looked into that much yet :) Tripping would really suck. Uhhh. I couldn't imagine! I hope I get it early too! I am patiently waiting :) Your big day isn't too far away!!
