Just wondering if there were any other Sigma Kappa brides!? If not post what you are! What sorority things will you incorporate in your wedding?

Also- my FI is a Beta Theta Pi :-D

Delta Zeta! (We had Sigma Kappa at our school, too) ^_^ A lot of the girls in my sorority who got engaged after they graduated had a candle passing at their reception (since they didn't get to have one while actives).

Personally, I don't think I'm going to do a candle passing or anything at our wedding because I feel that the guests who have no idea what it is or what it means either feel left out or are totally confused why there are a bunch of girls standing in a circle, passing around a candle and singing. ^_^

But we'll see. My girls may just do it anyways. I wouldn't put it past them. ^_^

Alpha Xi Delta here. I had a candle passing while in college, because I was lavaliered by my boyfriend at that time. (Jackass is now an ex, not my wonderful fiance. :p ) My fiance is a GDI.

Alpha O here. How are you guys keeping your side of the friend guest list from being like a thousand people? I've actually cut mine to just the girls in my pledge class, and a couple of girls outside of that group whom I remain close to.

Alpha Phi here! Didn't incorporate it into our wedding, but some of my sorority sisters got a kick out of signing "Love and AOE" in our guestbook.

@ MelissaBegins - I'm a TPA too!  What chapter?  Mine was/is Alpha Upsilon from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

@ Fiftyfootbride - Hilarious...GDI!  I haven't heard that in years.  I was also lavaliered and my ex-boyfriend is a complete moron!  Thank god we not only get older but much wiser!!

@stacymarie and @sanddollar... I'm a Zeta too!!  All the ZTAs in the bridal party put their badge on the handle of their bouquet.  It's very pretty :)  Our colors were turquoise and pink, with silver accents.  Still can't believe I talked DH into that.

ADPi -  The only sorority thing we did at my wedding was a diamond photo with my sisters in attendance.

@Miss Penguin - I'm an Alpha Phi as well.  Where did you go to school?

Not sure yet if or how I'll be incorporating sorority stuff into the wedding.  I might wear my pin on my bouquet or under my dress.  We'll see.

It was hilarious.  The other night the retired lady who delivered my pizza saw me wearing an old Phi Mu alumni t shirt from an event we had a few years ago and she said "hey LIOB" (love in our bond).  She was a Phi Mu alum and hugged me when she left.

I can't wait to go see T's house on the inside.  We've driven past it at Emory and if those walls could talk!  He wants to take me to the next alum event there so I can go inside and he can show me his old room.

My sis was a Pi Beta Phi and my bil was an ATO.  I actually was in college a Pike (Pi Kappa Alpha) lil' sis.

I'm a Delta Gamma and FI is an Alpha Delt. Our bridal party is huge as a result (9) but it will be a blast! I really hope to incorporate it somehow :)

tinybride & jaylii9- I'm an Alpha Chi Omega too!

A lot of my close sorority friends are in the wedding party and then several more are invited to the wedding. I don't think that I want any of the songs though.

I'm a proud alum of Sigma Delta Tau! We only had a group photo shoot at my wedding reception, no songs or serenades.

At the last 2 weddings I attended, we shouted our drinking song at the reception.  Classy!  I miss those girls and it's so fantastic that people are all getting hitched so we can have some reunions.  No one lives in the same area anymore!

I'm an Alpha Phi too, Pengy! FI is Pi Kappa Alpha. Unfortunately I've lost touch with lots of the girls over the years -- I graduated in '98. But my best friend from A-Phi will be there, and some others will be at the "hometown reception" my mom is having for us over Thanksgiving.

Alpha Omicron Pi here! (AOII)  I didn't incorporate anything major into my wedding, but I did give our flower to my sisters who attended.  No big thing, just a single flower they held honoring our good times in chapter together.

TCU Sigma Kappa here! I didn't get to have a candle pass, so I'm pretty bummed. I'm curious to hear what kind of meaningful things can be incorporated into sorority weddings without breaking ritual?

*MDARRAH* and *CHK* - I'm an AOPi too!!

I was a member of the Omega Upilon chapter at Ohio University!

I didn't do anything special pertaining to my sorority at my wedding - but my fave sisters were in attendance and I got some great pics with them!

I am Pi Beta Phi, the Florida Beta Chapter at FSU :) and the husband was an Alpha Epsilon Pi at FSU also.  He dated one of my sorority sisters for the majority of college and we still never met until we went to law school out of state :)
