    I was never in a sorority (was friends with a couple girls who were though) but as a guest at your wedding, I would think a whole dance was a bit odd. But at your bachelorette, with 3 of your sisters? I’m sure that’s a much higher proportion lol, go for it!

    I hope you get some responses from Bees who know more about this than me! 🙂

    As a guest I would think it was a little odd since it was only 3 of them.  I’ve been to a wedding where they did a sorority thing, but there were like 20-25 girls involved.  Since it’s such a small group I think it might be more fun for everyone if you save it for the night before activities.

    I’m in a sorority, and also am only inviting about 3 of my sisters to the wedding. I can’t think of any wedding traditions that Theta has, but if there were one, I would do it before the wedding. If you were inviting like 20 sisters, I think it would be more appropriate at the reception, but it would look a little weird with only 3.

    DEFINITELY do it at your bachelorette! The ratio of sorority sisters will be much better!

    @Ellyson:  Theta Love to you!

    Girl, you’ve never seen a wedding Theta tradition?? I always love to see the Sorority traditions! Theta has a song that we sing around the Bride and Groom. I will be having the 8 Thetas do this when I get married. I will also have my badge attached to my bouquet.

    I actually disagree with PP’s.  I could see it being pretty awkward at the bachelorette party for the girls that aren’t in the sorority.

    I had a sorority sister who had a similar issue (larger wedding, small number of sorors).  We did our “sweetheart song” in the bride’s dressing room right before the wedding.  It was intimate and meaningful (lots of tears) without making the guests or anyone else feel strange.  I’d probably suggest doing that!

    I wasn’t in a sorority, but at Bryn Mawr we have a special Greek cheer we say.  My friends “anassed” me at my wedding.  It was nice and a little silly.  I say go for it — within reason.  =)

    We just went to a wedding where the boys sang “Sweetheart of Sigma Chi” to the bride–there were like 15-20 Sigma Chi’s, so it was really cute. Then the girls, who were Kappas, coincidentally, did a Kappa thing, but there were only like 6 of them, and it seemed…. quite odd. Especially because the wedding was very large, lol.

    Love the dressing room idea posted above!!

    @MissBatman:  I’ve never been to a Theta wedding! But I’m also not necessarily the most devoted sister when it comes to traditions, having gone inactive for my senior year. Definitely don’t regret one second of it though, Theta love to you too!

    @fluffernutter38:  awesome! I still have my shirt from our Kite and Key Valentine’s social!
